Unfortunately our young guys, aside from Bill Walker in spurts, have not adjusted to the playoffs

Yeah keep repeating that **** it willl catch on one of these days.

You really think the play calling out of timeouts has been good??

When you don't have players who can't execute, you do what is simple. So yes, I do.

Yup. I'm going to go out on a limb and hazard a guess that the play they called wasn't "Fishlips-Tango-Blue-92."

No ****?

This game was all about Carmelo putting up an unreal playoff performance. We could have had Mike Brown on the sidelines.

There's no execution down the stretch with this team, but I am pleased with the effort.

Wait a minute! You think the Celtic's can't be beat after what we just went thru losing 2 of our best players in this series? Man what's wrong with you people? I don't understand the negative statements about this team. We weren't the better team coming in and yet we're right on the edge of getting over the hump and we've had to fight the refs and injuries to two of our best players. I'm not sure I understand some the Knick fans right now.

They've beaten us when healthy, not healthy...with scrubs...without scrubs at home and away

It doesn't matter.

We're not advancing, they are. I'm not getting into injury excuses.

We're getting beat, period.

OH Please!!! What's wrong with you? Have the Celtics looked like a team that can just dominate us? NO! They've gotten all the breaks and they're playing at home! I'm telling you this series can easily turn the other way. I don't care about the regular season. That has no bearing on this series. We win 2 home games then it's best 2 out of 3! So let's not get crazy just yet. I still believe in the Knicks chances.

It's really gonna depend on how bad the injuries to STAT and CB are.

You don't have to dominate to win as your man D'AnToni said you just have to score more pts. And the Cs execute and score more pts than their opponents without gimmicks like no other

if MDA had any defensive scheme, KG doesn't score on that hook shot.

PLAYOFF BASKETBALL IS ABOUT GETTING STOPS, not scoring more points. mda just doesn't get it.

First, that silly KG alley oop in game 1, and now an isolation play for KG that had brought in no help defense.

I will say I'm impressed slightly with D'AnToni's ability to coach a half court game at a slower pace. I hope his supporters acknowledge we aren't competitive playing SSOL but instead because we've become moderately more conventional.

So then why implement SSOL in the regular season if you're going to slow down the pace and play conventional basketball in the postseason?

You can't play SSOL against the C's. they don't let you.

Which proves my point. Instead of playing that losing style SSOL, play conventional half court basketball all season long so there's less of an adjustment in the postseason.

It's not possible to criticize the offense when we don't have a PG that can run it. So Mike has adjusted the offense to what he has. You guys are talking like we're playing some scrub team or something. It's still the Celtics, who were in the finals last year. It's not an easy series for anyone to win and yet they have had to go down the wire against us in most of our games.

You think it would make a difference is we had STAT in there and Billups at the end of either game? It just might have.

Considering we played them to the final possession without Stat or Billups is a great sign IMO. Hopefully we get those two back for Friday because Melo can't lay like this every game. We also need Fields to regain his composure and TD to hit his open shots. But all in all it was a great game. The big mistake was having Fishlips in on the final play.

The real "No ****?" question is who was going to be open. It was 100% certain Melo was gonna get doubled and the worst offensive player on the floor would've been open. Actually the way they approached that play, they definitely had to assume that ball was going to Jared.

Not to mention Effries was hacking him, is smaller... and weighs less, and has put us away more than once. D'AnToni was probably more concerned about getting the ball back and scoring(drawing up offensive plays). 2 different schools of coaching here. Doc went with a clear mismatch banking on ISO defense and going early, while letting his D finish the game.

it just might have made a difference if we had a different coach too.

MDA has been undressed by rivers in both games this series and in the regular season games as well.

what adjustment did MDA make to the double teams? none.

how do the C's score on a backdoor alley and a rinky dink little baby hook? tom thibodeau coaching this team i can guarantee it would not be THAT easy!

D'antoni has the game's 2 premiere talents, but people are still giving him the benefit of the doubt by saying he needs a PG now.

Unreal.

you guys are talking like Melo and 4 YMCA dudes can come into Boston and beat KG, RayRay, Pierce, Rondo in a cake walk and because MDA can't out-coach Rivers it's something that should be emphasized.

Are you guys for real? When does reality come back?

I thought Melo should have left Delonte to double KG. I'd rather take a chance on a Delonte jumper than a KG high percentage shot.

Look, I get the frustration with D'antoni, but I just have a hard time seeing the spite for him on this night. The Knicks played their balls off and were ultimately betrayed by their lack of talent. We had ONE guy out there who was an offensive threat. One. You have to slide the coach a little bit of credit for rallying the troops right? Just a little?
