few calls were awful but Heat hit their shots.

He's set up an unfalsifiable theory because he can always say either "the home team lost because they were tight and the road team brought it for 48 min" or "the home team won because the road team didn't bring it for 48 min."

Its quite genius with no apparent monetary or other measurable gain other than "Told you so"!

Logically it probably wouldn't have worked because they Danny Granger/Paul George already there. They needed a point guard and they got George Hill. You can't play Granger/George/Leonard high rotation minutes...wouldn't worked as you wouldn't be maximizing your assets.

I think proves more so is the Spurs always have competent people in their organization to make those kind of decisions that leads to those moves being made.

Spurs have laid the foundation that takes a vision and patience. They rebuilt how many times to keep Duncan supported? Kwai Leonard was not an overnite sensation and they gave up Hill who had beaten Parker and was gettng his minutes. They cut Danny Green twice. Spitter was drafted and they waited, then developed him further. Etc, etc. While the knicks got to finals with Ewing and were competitive they were "rushed" to get him help. This is in part ewings "fault" but its a reasonable desire to want to win. Duncan flirted with joining orlando but in the long run the money was there and the mutual trust grew that TOGETHER they could keep winning!

Ewing wanted his stats, his money and im sure wanted to win. I think its the norm and what Duncan has done is quite rare and exceptional. Im not blasting ewing but the parallels are similar yet how one organization built it.

Very rare indeed in this era!

Yea take away Robinson and Duncan and they would have been like everyone else. The character those two put on display made everybody else fall in line. No Duncan or Robinson and the culture wouldn't have changed in San Antonio. Coach Pop would not have lasted without those guys setting the tone to buy in.
