Good catch on that 1st paragraph and could see Gershon (as an example) having some frustrations if Thibs was refusing to try some things they may have wanted to see in terms of better roster/play cohesion and overall top to bottom alignment between players, staff, management.

I think the Knicks know what they want, but want to make sure they do their research on a coach that will have lots of pressure and expectations.I think they are doing things the right way. Why is everyone acting like this is the Turmoil Knicks?

They are just listening to the Knicks haters on espn who couldn’t wait to bash the Knicks. Other teams on the verge of getting to the championship round have done something similar most famous being the Red Sox firing Grady Little and they won the world series the following season. The Knicks are pretty much the Boston Red Sox of basketball.

The Knicks just got to the ECF's. They were legit. They are a legit top 5 teams in the league and all of their main guys are 30 and under. This next step of finding the new coach should be treated as very important and shouldn't be rushed. There was zero chance they would have started this process during the playoffs, the actual talking to outside candidates part.

Their plan is pretty straight forward and just the same as it should and would be for every other team in the league: do you due diligence and meet people. This is where Brock gains knowledge about the playing field. It should be drawn out.

This is exactly as it should be played out. Just like the draft. Even if you only have a top 10 pick, you still meet every other player in the draft and do your homework. Same thing here.

For those of you that think there is no plan, what are you exactly expecting the Knicks to do that you have in mind? And why are you thinking the Knicks need to telegraph it exactly to you?

Why fault the process when knicks have no current competition for any coach?

IM looking at Mike Browns complete resume as coach and assistant coach and he has sat on the bench of some impressive runs.
As head coach being fired 31 games into a season where no successor was able to do better with that roster and meddling owner.

Knicks gave respect to players perhaps by trying to interview coaches with other teams. How does Kat feel about Finch? Brunson about Kidd? How do players respect for Quinn? They tried. Maybe it showed they had their backs. Just a guess. Does it make them look stupid? Only if media says so?

Malone? He has ties to Knicks and CAA. He has a chip. No doubt a qualified coach. But does he fit into the current and forward thinking of were FO wants to go? Since I don’t know how the interview process goes how can a fan begin to quantify this fit other than he has a recent chip? Thats his and nuggs, not ours if we hire him. Nuggs had salary issues causing lack of depth and malone if I read right was not using his bench and playing yoot as FO wanted. MPjr has not grown into his contract as hoped. Murray injuries at his salary has been an issue. Its not all on Malone for his dismissal but not a good look they did it before playoffs and the team responded quite well.

Players are not going to publicy diss Thibs but compliment him for taking them to a higher level then they were before. Kat too had a great season but its not like behind closed doors they saved his job.

Bottom line is not what media click bait outlets thing in June but how it gets sorted by into next season.

how did OKC's offense look vs. the Pacers? Like during the whole 4th qtr vs the Pacers? How did it look?

I said this after game 1 and saying it again....

Pacers absolutely look like they belong on the floor with OKC and while OKC ran roughshod over most teams this year the Pacers have stood toe-toe with them on both sides of the court. Really impressed with Pacers thus far and how much their younger guys like Nembhart, Nesmith, Mathurin and yes Hali have played.

Pacers ability to get up floor quickly, continue to move the ball and their own bodies has negated a great OKC strength where they can overload the floor against great iso players -- the movement, the quickness of the offense and Hali's ability to create passing angles have really made OKC look normal thus far.

Another huge edge for Indy has been that Turner (and Pascal to a degree) have seemed to totally negate I-Hart --- similar to how I-Hart shrunk as playoffs progressed with Knicks last year.
