No, he would not, because the idealogical divide between the right and left is very real, and the demographics really don't favor a party who has lost support of non-whites on merit.

I posted that the criteria people are citing in the last hour have no substance, and it's these low standards that give us the choices we have.

I've merely observed the fact that Trump have preyed on the blue collar for this entire career, and therefore has learned to appeal to them.

This guy is ignorant in terms of the world and the government he wants to lead...told my girlfriend what he is WWT: Wealthy White Trash. Guy is a bully, with little class.

Clinton is a political animal, whatever her faults, and it is going to be embarrassing for him in the debates if he can't have them set up so he doesn't have to go to deep into his very shallow knowledge of the government and the world.

He's too far on the right to win a national election for President.

His ideals are no further to the right than the rest unless his LGBT bill is the deal breaker

Which demonstrates the national problem the GOP has.

They've lost the popular vote in 5 out of the last 6 election cycles over 24 years (a generation). And a candidate with historically high unfavorables is leading in the polls and has a demographic advantage that is even more pronounced.
