And If I had the time on my hands, I could go back to game threads where posters were questioning MDA's insertion of Lin, late into games, after the 8-1 run to improve his shooting percentage...I remember talking about this...

I wonder how the chemistry would have been if Fred Weis made the team and played the pick and roll with Lin?

or,

Is Lin really better statistically than Rory Sparrow?

If Sparrow was Asian, would it have helped?

If Lin was black, what would we have called "Linsanity"?

If Lin Spikes his hair and bleaches it, takes Van Gundy's old Civic and turns it into a fly ricer, would we think more or less of him?

I heard a rumor Lin was related to General Tso. Should he start a new chicken franchise? The "General" out ranks the "Colonel"!

I dont get it knicks will be over the cap anyway. How does signing felton for less help us have flexibility when we will be over and only have the lle to offer veterans? Not anyone of significance?

Another question? After the knicks are eliminated how much longer will it take them to trade Shump for another perennial loser making $20mil a year? Shump is my favorite current knick and has been since the day he got drafted. Im prepared for another punch to the gut from Dolan. Hey i chose the knicks. Bulls and Lakers were right there for the taking

I guess we can only hope he is traded for someone under 30 not 40yr old Steve Nash

Quick! I think I saw the horse twitch!

Jeremy appears to have taken a subtle swipe at Raymond Felton, here's a paragraph from a recent interview on him:

Lin has also spent a lot of time watching film of other point guards.

"I’ve watched everybody and some of the names might be shocking, but the thing is every point guard does something better than me, so the key is learning from whatever that is. Players that I’ve watched – the obvious ones: Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Steve Nash, John Stockton, Gary Payton. And then you can go on to the ones who have very specialized skills: Juan Carlos Navarro and then Chris Duhon and Raymond Felton. They do things that are really, really good and better than me that other people might not see."

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/223613/Jeremy_Lin_Spent_Offseason_Watching_Film_Of_Himself_Nash_Felton_Others#ixzz27BPpcHBU

I've never really bought Lin's fake humble act, and I don't really believe the last line of that sentence- We've all seen Chris Duhon play and there is absolutely nothing that he is really, really good at (except maybe partying with multiple unattractive women). But really, grouping Felton in the same catagory as Navarro and Duhon and suggesting it may be 'shocking' to think someone would watch tape of him... hmmm. This will probably please the anti-Feltonites. Looks like Lin will be looking to destroy him when we face them- hope Felton's ready for him.

He is 100% correct regarding Felton whose specialized skill is running the Dantoni offense and the pick n roll. Not a complete player as evident by his career minus the 35 games under dantoni. In no way is he as complete as paul nash etc. He is a 40% shooter 30% from 3. Real talk

Yes, but Felton is a higher level player than Chris Duhon!

Felton is an average PG- that's in no way a bad thing to have- plenty of teams have won championships with average PGs. Duhon is a bum and a scrub- at his best, he was a back up PG.

With that said I don't see how Lin is taking a shot at Felton with that statement at all. Now that Lin no longer a Knick it is perfectly fine to say he sucks and he is a snake and a horrible human being who beats small children. How's that horse doin?!

There was no swipe, in the same sentence he stated those guys do things better than him, and he wants to learn how to be more complete.

That's what I'd expect from a basketball player that cares about his craft.

Even though I don't like Lin, the player, can't knock what he said at all.

Lin got to NY after teetering on oblivion and hit the instant lottery and cashed out. Good for him.

No hate here, just disappointed that he'd trade what could have been a great run at MSG for what's going to amount to a middle of the road career in Houston. Our insipidly stupid owner aside. Hey, maybe the Rockets game ho's are bit less of a problem for a young humble Christian man than our KCDancers. Understandable.

I will never forget Kobe's comment at the height of the supernova: "He just went for 40 against us...I'm not giving him any dayum advice..."

I now find beating horse skeletons into a fine white powder to be a great and fulfilling experience!

understand this, it was the knicks who promised to match, they didn't say they would match if he did this, or was offered this.. they said they would match!!!! NY said that.. they didn't and they blew it.. this is not on lin..

Next, Houston is set up pretty nice, they will have a chance in the near future to make moves and improve. It is funny how you call them middle of the road.. well where in the heck are we?

Anyone who sits around and waits for the lottery to better themselves, either in real life or in sports, Is a Loser............... TKF

Oh sorry. Point #1, fixed, above.

Next point: and of course, in tkf world, "we" haven't made moves, "we've" just repeatedly traded away gold for feces. And having a chance in Houston of course beats the living sheet out of doing anything at the world's most famous arena, Money Sucking Garbage.

I see the light at last!

That's funny, only the media was quoted in saying that.

But for your reading pleasure, use an actual quote from a knicks official....

http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/knicks/post/_/id/20123/grunwald-expects-to-re-sign-lin

Knicks general manager Glen Grunwald doesn't foresee any reason why point guard Jeremy Lin would not be on the team next season.

"No, not at this time," Grunwald said.

Lin a restricted free agent. Because he has only played two seasons in the NBA, the Knicks can match any offer up to $5 million.

From the sound of it, Grunwald would want to.

"We're happy with our roster. We have two guards [Lin and Landry Fields] that are restricted free agents, so we will be able to retain them," Grunwald said Friday night, during his conference call to discuss coach Mike Woodson's contract extension.

"We can keep him if we want him, and we do want to keep him, and I believe that Jeremy had a great experience here. I believe he wants to come back."

so here you go, an official quote.
