The Nets essentially got

Blatche for free

Stack for free

Watson for free

Evans for free

Childress for free

Bogans for free

No trades for any of those guys and they are all making peanuts

Choked?! Get out of here!! Dude had 35 and 13 in 50 mins. He cant make every shot. To be honest, it should have never come down to the last shot. The 2 playes before that shot were horrible play calls by Woodson. Those triple screen plays is either going to result in a runner from Felton or an alley oop to Tyson. Nets sagged and let Felton shoot.

His clutch gene has been overrated since 2006-2008

Ahh yes the turn on the team after a loss. It was one game. A big game but it is what it is. Bad plays late on defense and not sticking with thye triple screen was the key to me. Also, Melo needs to make those free throws.

I put a lot of this on Felton and Woodson. Melo was producing and so was Chandler. But defending those backdoor plays is half on the team and half on the coach. And Stackhouse = Novak in quickness; why can they find Stack but we can't even find Novak or JR for good, uncontested 3s. Its up to Felton to recognize how the defense breaks down when he gets a pick and roll and has options to lob or attack and kick. Frustrating. Felton has to watch this game again and again, so he can see what he misses. Several plays were broken and they had to scramble in the last 5-7 seconds.

Yeah. Kind of think Sheed with his all around game should get novak's role in a game like this.

It felt good being the big story of the first week. Now being ordinary kinda sucks.

This reminds me of a basketball game I played awhile ago. One guy was hot all game. I told my teammate to stay on him no matter what. Even if a guy will get an open layup. The very next lay he rotates off the guy and he hits game winning shot. Some people will just never be good defenders. Once Brewer went down we were stuck with useless Novak on D.

You're confirming my stance on this. Melo filled up the stat sheet...I don't care I've been told for a while now Melo clutch gene separates him from so many players. I don't care about clutch gene I want to win games where we aren't dependent on Hero Ball or last second shot. Because at the end of the day as Melo likes to say a player is probably only going to make 30% of those opportunities which means you watch them fail more than they succeed in such situations.

I understand people are upset but lets use some logic here. We lose to Nyets and all of a sudden half the Knicks is trash now?! I know nobody wants to here this now but we were without 3 of our top 8 players tonite.

Way too many rage tears here. Melo and Tyson had monster games but beyond that it was a barren wasteland. JR with 5 points. Novak with two. Felton shooting cross-eyed. It was a frustrating loss, but it wasn't a bad loss. The Rockets game? That was nightmare fuel.

Dont give a crap about Melo clutch gene right now. Him and Felton killed anyone sort of flow the offense had tonight. Even if Melo had it going for those few minutes he was hot, it was still a little sad to see him look off open teammates and hoist up shots. Felton....I dont even know...
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

I think Kidd makes all the difference in the world with this team. Just think about how many games Kidd helped us win in the 4th qtr when he comes in and turns up the tempo on D and helps us get good shots. Look this Knicks team is playing without Kidd, Amar'e and Shump. Those are actually key players for this team. Kidd in particular was missed the most tonight, but when we have all of our players this team is going to be really tough to beat

The past few games show that we have to take the good and the bad with Amare. While his defensive liability will have to be compensated for seriously, Amare is the only other guy who can put pressure on the offense consistently. And Shump; how we miss him. The problem is Amare will probably be decent only January. Shump won't be himself even after he comes back, for several months. It takes time to recover from the type of layoff he's had. One of the new guys will have to fill in.

It's wonder we even had a shot to win it at the end. Our defense, Melo and Tyson kept us in it. Realistically, Melo was the only player we had tonite that create some offense. Chandler did most of his damage on put backs and some PNR. But other than that, we looked putrid on offense....

Yeah, Felton's ability to read two to three steps after his pick and roll is abysmal.

Yes, the season has barely begun and the Knicks are already missing 3 of their top 8 players. Uptown, that is not a good thing, that is pretty bad. Their age caught up to them and they arent even at the halfway point of the season.

Yes, its team ball. Other than Tyson, his teammates came up small on the offensive end. Woodson didnt help either with the two plays he called that proceeded the Melo miss. My point is, it should have never come down to that shot.
