There's no execution down the stretch with this team, but I am pleased with the effort.

Wait a minute! You think the Celtic's can't be beat after what we just went thru losing 2 of our best players in this series? Man what's wrong with you people? I don't understand the negative statements about this team. We weren't the better team coming in and yet we're right on the edge of getting over the hump and we've had to fight the refs and injuries to two of our best players. I'm not sure I understand some the Knick fans right now.

They've beaten us when healthy, not healthy...with scrubs...without scrubs at home and away

It doesn't matter.

We're not advancing, they are. I'm not getting into injury excuses.

We're getting beat, period.

OH Please!!! What's wrong with you? Have the Celtics looked like a team that can just dominate us? NO! They've gotten all the breaks and they're playing at home! I'm telling you this series can easily turn the other way. I don't care about the regular season. That has no bearing on this series. We win 2 home games then it's best 2 out of 3! So let's not get crazy just yet. I still believe in the Knicks chances.

It's really gonna depend on how bad the injuries to STAT and CB are.

I hope you're right. I'm only going by what I'm seeing, and its disappointing.

Anyone else andthe defense would have been different and they wouldn't have left him alone under the basket.

Melo was getting doubled NO MATTER WHAT. Someone would've been open. Shawne Williams is a shooter so he didn't need to be right under.

Have you seen many teams get dominated in the playoffs? This is the playoffs. Every team is playing hard. Having close losses is nothing to throw parades over.

D'Antoni is going to get fired after we get eliminated so Im not worried.

This game was all about Carmelo putting up an unreal playoff performance. We could have had Mike Brown on the sidelines.

For every good play by Jefferies 5 bad plays will follow for him. Got to go up for the shot KG knew he wouldn't shoot played the passing lane. It really is tough to be a Knick fan but like I said this Celtics team is done folks unfortunately it looks like the Knicks are done too with STAT and Billups out.

Yup. I'm going to go out on a limb and hazard a guess that the play they called wasn't "Fishlips-Tango-Blue-92."

I think the brilliance of Rivers' play calling has completely overshadowed anything D'Antoni has done... He's done a good job, but still getting out-coached

Well if he gets double or tripled you can find an open man under the basket and they did- problem is who that man was.

We are running one guy and bunch of retreads that wouldn't see PT on most playoff teams and all you can think of is blaming the coach. You guys are amazing. Misdirection??? Our players can't make layups when they are wide open under the basket. You want misdirection? Right, let's the blame the coach.

hahaa, I'm really disappointed but I don't see how D'Antoni can be blamed here considering the circumstances. If Melo bombed up another 28 footer people would be complaining (unless it went down).

I will say I'm impressed slightly with D'AnToni's ability to coach a half court game at a slower pace. I hope his supporters acknowledge we aren't competitive playing SSOL but instead because we've become moderately more conventional.

So then why implement SSOL in the regular season if you're going to slow down the pace and play conventional basketball in the postseason?

You can't play SSOL against the C's. they don't let you.

Actually, you have to assume that the play is going to Jeffries because they were doubling down on Melo and leaving Jared open on EVERY POSSESSION IN THE GAME

Its really easy to be out coached when refs are your side.

It's also nice to have the coaching luxury of choosing between three Hall of Famers to draw up a play for. Also, that was a tough, tough shot KG made.

Bad defense on Rondo, good shot by KG, mental lapse on the rule change for Melo.

Which proves my point. Instead of playing that losing style SSOL, play conventional half court basketball all season long so there's less of an adjustment in the postseason.

Well exactly as the detractors have been saying the game slows down in the Post-Season. SSOL is a GIMMICK, nothing more than a showy display of emptiness. If D'AnToni would have groomed Douglas more as a pure point instead of Barbosa on Methamphetamine and Crank we may have had more flexibility to use Melo off ball but Melo had to run he offense for 40% of the night.

I hate Toney Douglas he's reached Nate Robinson level of disgust with me...His defense on Rondo tonight was ATRYSMAL and DISASTRID

How long can we keep up this type of effort? We need another person to step up, no one else is doing anything.

You don't have to dominate to win as your man D'AnToni said you just have to score more pts. And the Cs execute and score more pts than their opponents without gimmicks like no other
