Bynum is only good because he's playing with Kobe, Gasol, Odom......oh wait this can only be applied to Rajon Rondo when we're discussing who a player is playing with(my bad).

I don't think he's any better than Andrew Bogut and Bogut is alright but some of us talk about Bynum like he's the next best thing

Come on Juice, Bogut is better than Bynum especially with the development Bogut has gone through this year. He is a much more skilled player and has to deal with double teams by his oen self.

I said I don't think Bynum is any better than Bogut.

What confused you?

I'm saying for him not to be even on his level says a lot as Bogut isn't near Dominate but definitely a quality big with a more thorough skillset.

Bynum may be the most overrated prospect since 2005

If Bynum never sustained injury he would be a top 5 player in the NBA easily. If I need to draw conclusions I go look at his stats when he was 20 as in 15-10 -2 63%[lead the league in FG%] and look what his progression wouldve been. He was active athletic powerful explosive efficient. I don't think he is physically 40% of what he was 2+ years ago yet when he is back to being as healthy that he can be[he'sll never be what he was again] he can still average what he did when Pau Gasol was 22-11-2--that still would rank him as a top 20 or so player. Unless Bynum can give them 24 hard minutes and 10-7--I dont see the Lakers beating the C's 2/3 and you still have superstars all over the Lakers. But the reality is Bynum's presence on the game is enormous for them against this particular team. When he is out Gasol looks awful.

All these HOFers on these teams and Derek Fisher is dominating the 4th quarter of game 3, Big Baby and Nate dominating the 4th quarter of game 4. Such a fun yet weird series at the same time. I can't wait to see what happens in these next 3 games. I hope Nate has another big effort in him and can help the Celts take this thing. No more rings for Kobe. Screw this "he's approaching Jordan" crap. I don't care if he wins 8 rings, We've seen Kobe at his best and hes not as good as MJ. It's so damn insulting to anyone who saw both guys

I'm with you on this one briggs. Kid's got the combination of footwork, soft hands and big body. Has a walt bellamy/bob lanier game. If he hadn't sustained these injuries I think he was going to be among the top handful of players and eventually have tim duncan-like numbers.

Refs are taking all sorts of crap in this series. I'm really sick of hearing about them. The NBA is a tough game to call and it's no worse or better than it's always been from an officiating standpoint even dating back decades. The only difference now is that each and every call gets 2-3 slow mo replays with broadcasters offering their opinion and more of a light is shined on each call

I was watching some of the 91 NBA finals on youtube w/ the Bulls and the Lakers. Here is just one example on what im talking about and how the TV presentation of the game and how its changed effects perceptions. Just look for instance at the 3:20 mark in this vid.

Magic throws a pass that goes out of bounds. 2 officials have 2 different calls. So they decide to jump it up at halfcourt. No instant replays shown of the play by NBC to the viewer(even though instant replay did exist they didn't use it nearly as much). No opining on the call by Marv or Fratello. If that happened today, we get 18 different camera angles on replay and everyone has an opinion. Jeff Van Gundy is gonna chime in. Mark Jackson is going to give his opinion. Every call is dissected. Now that we are given way more evidence the bad calls (which happen just as frequently) are now more known and a light is shined on them far more than it was say 15-20 years ago.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Pau Gasol showing the world just how overrated he is by everyone. Made a note to call out KG early in the series and since then has been KG's you know what. Everybody is blocking his shot and pushing him around. The only thing missing is Nate to come up a block him straight up. Best big man in the game my ascot.

Never understood the hogwash people were trying to sell that Kobe was surrounded with superior talent. Gasol is a frontrunner and Artest's offense has been missing since his days in Indiana. Kobe will have to do it all if the Lakers have a shot. Fisher is Kobe's only real go to guy.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Ariza would have dunk and got and 1. Artest can't score and can't make his FTs.

i think u have a fair point there about Ariza... Artest choked badly on those FT's.
