wow, the rockets really handed it to the lakers last night, great game. saw the whole thing, beginning to end. incredible. yao is a monster, a pure unadulterated chunk of butt-kick.
they're my dark horse in the west. if they can get game 2 in la its over. they're going to the finals.

Stop jinxing it.

i had the Sixers & Rockets picked to go to the Finals this year in my season predictions thread... if that didn't jinx it, nothing will.

Ewwww, the Hawks in the finals? They are nice, but they totally don't have that finals look. It's either the Magic or the Cavs. Most likely the Cavs.

Yeah without KG, the Celts don't have much of a chance IMO. In the few moments I've watched, I'd say the Magic offense is not run very well without Jameer out. I think it will be the Cavs.

I know man, I don't want them either.

I'd like the Magic from the East and either the Nuggets or Rockets from the West.

How many days since the Cavs last played a game?

We'll see what happens.

he's never going to be the offensive force that Lebron is, but Lebron will never be the rebounding & shotblocking force that Dwight is either... can't expect Dwight to be another Shaq either, how many Shaq's have there ever been in the history of the NBA? there's only been 1 other bigman who's been more dominant physically during his heyday & that was Wilt pretty much... gotta remember now, Dwight Howard came straight outta HS... he didn't have the luxury that Ewing had to develop his game at Georgetown & hit the NBA as a 23 yo rookie... compare Ewing's rookie season to Dwight now & the only thing Ewing was better at is scoring... Dwight's better in rebounding by a significant margin, & his shotblocking total is better also, as is his FG %... i ain't trying to say he's gonna be better than Ewing, but he definitely has the potential to be that level of a player through his career & it's not a stretch to imagine it if u ask me.

I'll give you that. Many, many athletes play down to their level of competition. There arent too many big men to drive Howard in this era. To think, Ewing might have arguably been the 4th best center of his era???? Damn. The mid '80s to the late '90s was no joke in the NBA.

I dont know about the Rockets winning it but I know this once McGrady got hurt, that primadonna, bytch ass attitude went out with him. What an indictment that he finally makes it out of the first round when he's made no significant contribution to the team in months.

The Rockets have taken on the personality of Yao, Artest and their dirt-under-the-fingernails crew. They came to fight and bring it to the Lakers. Lake show isnt trying to see their on-the-ball defenders and intangible laden squad right now.

I can see why Lowry was so popular around these parts when he was with the Grizz. Duke can ball.

Only you would say that a Rockets/Hawks finals would be "incredible"

lmao..thanks, man. i think it would because lebron and kobe are all over the networks and stuff, a joe johnson v. artest would be an even better story. i'm always rooting for the underdog

rockets/hawks would yield the biggest worldwide ratings in nba history.

there would only be about 5,000 people watching it in the US tho.

Why would people worldwide care about the Hawks? I understand the Rockets, but the Hawks?

Which is why I said the Rockets, jimi - I understand that. I was just asking why people would care about the Hawks, but now I realize that DJ was just commenting on someone elses idea of the Hawks in the finals.
