The Mo Taylor pick.

nice we put up with 3yrs of Mo Taylor for Mardy Collins who won't even play

Actually we gave up the #32 pick in this draft to get Mo. The #29 was from the Nazr Mohammed/Malik Rose trade.

This is the worst Knicks draft in recent memory when you factor in what it took to even get these picks.

We made decent choices towards 2/3 defense for this upcoming season (clearly not BPA at 20; shouldve had williams), although I feel Isiah made his choices with this season and saving his job and $$$ in mind (he tried to get whoever would help him NOW this season, regardless of how his decision affects the franchise for the longterm).

Clearly Isiah is committed to Marbury. Its up to them to prove their own worth.

After like 5 years of being mock drafts, Kosta Perovic is finally drafted.

If you can't remember worse recent draft than this you must have a memory issue. Last year was our only good draft in forever.

I wouldnt be surprised if they ask David Lee who the Knicks are going to draft

Were you foreshadowing the SEC selection here? Balkman's SC team upset Florida twice this year and nearly knocked them off in the SEC tourney final, with a lot of help from Balkman...

Reread, I said when you factor in what we gave up to even get these picks. We took on a ridiculous amount of salary, then, IMHO, busted on both picks. Feel free to disagree, but seeing who we drafted, I would've been just as happy letting some contracts come off the cap and not having any draft picks at all.

Taking the past few years, I guess trading Nene and Camby for McDyess may have been worse, but at the time, at least it seemed like it had a *chance* of being a good move (I did HATE the move at the time). Not sure I feel that these picks have any chance of being the right ones for this team. Hopefully I feel differently 6 months from now.

Very true.

We did have a few years of solid drafts in there. I thought the Sweetney and Lampe draft was very good, and Lampe wound up being a key piece in us getting Marbury (for better or for worse). I thought the Ariza pick was outstanding. Last year's draft was good. This year's is seriously questionable, and that's putting it mildly.

Last year people were seriously questioning Frye and Lee, but it turned out well, no? I still don't know about this draft, but I'm willing to sit and wait it out. I think Isiah has earned the benefit of the doubt in terms of the draft, no matter how bad one might think he is elsewhere.

Who wanted Alexander Johnson again? Jerry West just traded for him

Alexander Johnson was projected to be a mid 1st round pick by most mocks. No surprise that Jerry West scooped him up.

Considering what we have on the roster, we really didn't need more *new* players, especially swingmen.

At guard... we're stuffed beyond belief with Crawford, Marbury, Francis, Nate... and at SF we have Rose, Q-Rich, and Qyntel (and perhaps Lee)...

We could have tried to trade one of these picks for a future 1st rounder (maybe we did, but couldn't find any takers)...

Damn. Nets got Hassan Adams. I think at 54 he's a steal. Super Athletic. Should fit in with Nets.
