Guys no need to overreact to this game loss. It was a tough fought game and we were able to take it to overtime. Just look down the road to when we get guys back. I think the Knicks in the end will be a better team.

I can see that we really missed Kidd tonight. He's been somewhat under appreciated but now you can see that having Kidd and his savvy play makes a HUGE difference for this team.

Felton shot us out of this one down the stretch and criminal not getting Melo the ball.

Melo did nothing down the stretch either. The gameplan should have been to run actual plays. The play that worked to perfection at the start of the OT should have been run as last play of game. Instead we got ISO melo like in the playsoffs last year.

yep should've never went to OT. Last possessions have been awful under Woodson

the nets arent anything special they have played weak teams for the most part. The surprising part is how we started of very smart the first 6 games and now we looks like teh 2002-2009 knicks

When we needed a last shot in a close game Melo choked...

Good news is that we took a division rival at full strength and took them to the limit with Kidd out, Felton having the kind of game I was hoping was behind him, Camby still out of shape, and JR regressing a bit. Tyson looks like he has woken up. I don't know what else to call it since he looked like he was ready for the glue factory just hours ago.

Bad news is that we see happens when Kidd isn't around. His coaching on the floor is just as important as his playing.

Our defense closing out the 3-point shooters was awful, Melo was just bad down the stretch and got beat back door numerous times, Felton didn't even attempt to be a PG tonight and was completely disgraceful and the offense as a whole has regressed so much that it's quite clear that the way we played offensively to start the season was an aberration. We don't move the ball the way we should and it's been a steady decline for a while now. This Melo, JR, Felton iso stuff is not going to fly. This is not winning basketball. Stop regressing back into our 7th seed ways.

Thats what I dont go get. How can this team look so drastically different as of late? Im talking specifically defense where its just nowhere near what it was those first 6 games.
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Jr Smith could have did what Melo did, going 1 on 5 is YMCA BALL.

I'm disappointed with the game plan at the end. Melo has a street ball mentality when the game is tight. He needs a vet on the court to show him discipline at crunch time.

I think the Knicks need some more experienced veterans. They will probably have a shot of beating the Nets.

Papabear Says

The better team tonight won. The Nets on paper right now have the better team. Felton made some big mistakes tonight. Felton thinks that he is some sort of superstar and he can shoot at will. That sucks. With Jason Kidd playing tonight we win. Even though we lost at the Nets arena they are still the Nets and will always be second fiddle to the Knicks just like they were in New Jersey. We need to get a healthy young shooting defensive power forward. Melo can't do it all him self. We need a rebounder.

This team is very jekyll and hyde. Sometimes you swear they are an elite team and then they revert back to be a 7-8 seed

I think that might be the story of our squad this season. Up and down and up and down.

I think they are really good. They are big and skilled at every position. However, Knicks had this game and blew it. They really need Kidd. He raises the team iq about 30 pts.

We're basically an ISO Melo 3pt chucking offensive system....

Brewer is trash

Novak is "not that good"

Camby one of the worst trades made this off season as I've always maintained

Felton is the kind of point guard Woody doesn't prefer...."SHOOT FIRST"

Tyson biggest poser in all of basketball

We look like a mid 2000 Denver Nugget team that will fail in the end

Melo and Novak are the worst wing guys defending the 3 ball. Nobody left novak open, but those guys left stack open all day long incredible.
