because (1) no one was going to hit him if he established position and (2) he was going to take the blame for the loss no matter what

honestly, the best play tonight was when Melo was in the post and hit Amar'e for a nice right elbow shot. Amar'e missed it, but that was a beautiful play. unfortunate that no one else would have looked Amar'e's way

I'd love to see him come back to NY but you're right. Hubie said as much right after Memphis.
