Grunwald and D'Antoni lucked into this kid playing out of his mind. Nobody saw this coming. Not even Lin himself.

Wrong.
I saw it coming.
So did Misterearl.
All that this kid needed was a chance.
Read the opening comment of the 10 page Jeremy Lin thread posted on 12/27/2011.

Come on, now. You saw THIS coming?

Jeremy Lin has 89 points thru his first 3 starts,
most pts by ANY NBA PLAYER in his first 3 starts
since the merger (1976-77) via #Elias

Actually, BRIGGS saw this coming. sort off. BRIGGS introduced Jeremy Lin to UK 2 years ago before the draft and after that, I was a big Jeremy Lin fan and followed his career.

Even BRIGGS didn't see THIS coming.

And the Knicks were strongly considering waiving Lin for Mike James before last Saturday according to Marc Stein. So much for Grunwald's brilliance.

Melo with. A pass first PG? Wow we about to bust the **** out!

Now that Lin's saved D'Antoni's job, it seems like fans are passing on their blame from Mike to Melo. We love to have a scapegoat.

In 8 years, he's only been asked to create a shot for himself. This year, he gets thrown into the point-forward role, and actually did a pretty solid job with it, working the pick and roll with Tyson, and finding teammates open shots. To top it off, he's been playing with a handful of injuries.

Too much iso? Sure, but after watching a team that couldn't hit the broadside of a barn (Hey Toney, 23 is supposed to be your jersey number, not your FG%!), I can't blame him for taking some bad shots. No matter how bad they were, they were more likely to go in.

If Lin can revive Jeffries' offensive game, why are we so worried about existing with Melo?!

Well...then I saw this coming. At the beginning of the season, I mentioned that we should watch what the Rockets are doing with Lin. I wanted Lin to play the minute he got here. I even sent tweets to all them freaking reporters including Alan Hahn about why is Lin not getting a chance. I knew this was coming.

I don't doubt the topic but c'mon.

0% chance you thought he would put up these numbers. Admit you saw him as a 12 and 8 point guard at best or you lose all credibility.

Nice. You knew he'd average 28 PPG, 8 APG in 4 straight games.

You are Nostradamus.

You don't have to be nostradamus if you actually watched this kid play...and with the history of MDA and elevating the play of his PGs this to me was an easy call.

Like Breen said in the telecast. He had 2 strikes against him as to why people questioned him...
1. He is an asian PG.
2. He is from Harvard.

He did not fit the profile.

That's cool but to say you saw 28 and 8 coming is simply lying.
