Odd, but Pacers currently in a 3 way tie for 3rd worst record...I guess good on them for throwing additional protection on there, but a very good chance that pick falls 5-9. Is Zubac worth a top 10 lottery pick?! Way to roll the dice.

That’s a big gamble especially considering 7 other teams are actively tanking

Zubic worth a top 10?
Does a 5-9 pick perhaps solve for a big man when you get your star PG back and are gearing up as a contender on that timeline?

As for Waiving Cam Thomas? I guess since they won't extend him and maybe he playing just for it creates other issues and stagnates the growth of others. He has the talent to go off for 50pts and **** up a tank game himself! LOL.........

Harden kind of has a point:
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/47840039/james-harden-kawhi-leonard-la-clippers-cleveland-cavaliers-darius-garland

Good article. Fair on both accounts. Harden has earned to NOT have the benefit of the doubt given his history but these guys are not *******s all the tiime. Bottom line is if the talent is there and other teams want that player then they are so empowered.

I was really suprised Warriors not only traded for KP but that Kuminga had so little value. I was thinking KP was more of a buy out candidate.

Whoa, I didn't notice Pacers traded Mathurin. I would have liked to get in on that. He would be a perfect piece off our bench.
I'm not overly familiar with Zubac, so don't really know the return they got on that.
Mathurin is an *******, but he could be our *******.

One thing I am learning about the new NBA is unprotected 1st are equal to high 2nd round picks. Teams are now sitting out healthy players to make sure they don't lose picks. I would never trade for a protected pick again.

This because your frustrated it not conveying as hoped?
Do you have any idea the history of that pick and how conveluted it is?

It as never valuable but perhaps worth the risk to hit a home run if it became something.
You migth also want to see perhaps it allowed us to make cap space for some player whom you might love.
That pick without protections would not be pass around like a 2 dollar hooker if not for them.
It started as the FRP in the John Wall and pick for Westbrook deal between the Wiz and Rockets
Then it went to the Thunder along with a Pistons protected pick for the 16th overall pick in 2021 which became Alperen Sengun.
Then it, the Pistons pick, and a 2023 Denver FRP went to the Knicks for the 11th overall pick in 2022 which became Ousmane Dieng.
That Pistons pick was in the KAT trade and turned into Joan Beringer (17th). The Nuggets pick found its way to the Hornets and became Nick Smith Jr. (27th).

thats a partial history.

I am not talking about a specific pick. I am talking about picks in general. I am going to be honest I don't even know the Knicks pick situation. I don't watch the NBA as close as I used to.

Joel has to be the worst player to watch in the league. Looks at this trash. The ref actually gave him a foul call for this.

No matter what Kat does I am good with never having Randle again.
