Been thinking about Brown. He has a weird rep because he got little credit for his initial run in Cleveland (Lebron and his band of merry men) and then for his stint with the star-laden, but over the hill Lakers. He had a pretty good run in Sacramento, playing a very different style of ball. His resume is kinda of fantastic-

-2x NBA Coach of the Year
-.600 career winning % as head coach in over 750 games
-4x NBA Champion as an assistant coach
-Assisitant Coached under 3 all timers in Gregg Popovich, Rick Carlisle and Steve Kerr

The resume is interestingly in the same range as Thibs, but he has shown way more creativity on offense. Has so much experience that he might get the respect of this team. Still intriguing…

I prefer Mike Woodson TBH.

Whatever happened to the Mike Woodson Mr Potato Head emoji?

He's Sacramento's Rick Brunson.

I don't really understand the hate right now as if the Knicks would have pre-interviewed some of these candidates. Obviously the logical first step is to go after the best candidates, in this case the guys who already have jobs, who are also the least likely. Take the big swings first and cross them off the list if they don't work out. Knicks interviewed 20 candidates last time around. So this is the early stage of a long process.

Something I never thought I'd say, and when I saw the Mike Brown news within 10 mins I went from "puke" to "wow this is actually a pretty good choice".

Mike Brown is one of the few coaches I can think of that has successfully coached a half court elite defense style team and a full court, uptempo, elite offense team. His assistant coaching resume is as good as anyone as well. He's also coached in a major media market. He's clearly adaptable to his roster and doesn't have any preconceived notions about how any team should play. I actually think he would be a really good fit the more I think about it.

Also, Sabonis is a guy I would love Towns to play a little bit more like, in terms of utilizing his god given passing talent more.

Wow Begley threw out Mike Woodson as a serious candidate with a straight face on the KFS pod. Says the relationship with the front office is strong and is well regarded from his last stint.

Too much of a company man IMO.

By the time he left, Melo was screaming at Woodson to coach during a time out because he was practically mute.

He lost control of JR who imploded in the playoffs, two seasons in a row I believe. When things went bad they went really bad. So if the FO remembers the good times, I hope they remember the bad times as well.

Quinn would relapse in less than a month under this type of pressure.

Hahaha I saw that and accepted the fact that we might really ask all other franchises. We won’t be able to say Leon didn’t explore every possibility.

Semi-fearless prediction. Thibs is an asst with the Mavs or Spurs next season. I dont believe Thibs wants to sit out a season.

Anybody impressed with the way this situation is being handled? Feels like we've been set back 20 years.

In a surprising turn of events, Knicks hire new found female coach Rom Rhibodeau as their new head coach. This surprising choice hails from the Euroleague and looks surprising like Mrs. Doubtfire. Of particular note is her long curly hair that seems to hang over her face. And for some reason she speaks with an off German accent.

Mr. Dolan made the announcement to the Press (since Mr. Rose hasn’t spoken to the press in 14 years. The entire front office attended the event though smiling, nay, smirking as Mr. Dolan discussed rhe reasoning behind his decision.

“Ms. Rhibodeau has promised to play the triangle in my band.”

Somewhere far distant, Phil Jackson’s ears tingled.

Why because the Knicks were so bad for so long they don’t have a right to make an adjustment?

They deserve time to play this through, but for the first time in a few years, it feels like they don’t have a plan.

As an offensive coordinator? Hmm, probably not. Wait, I know, we will hire him as a defensive coordinator! Oh wait, that's not gonna work either. Maybe a development coach? Lol 🤣
