Jimmy Butler lost a lot of body mass. You can see how being weak is affecting his game.
Edit: never mind I guess that was just rust

KP sitting out the second of a back to back for the Mavs against the Suns tonight. Way things have been going perhaps not to our advantage.

Has it really only been the last couple of years where we have really heard about sitting out games back to back? Maybe Spurs have done it for a long while now. Don't remember that happening in the 90's and before this current era so profusely.

It's really a shame. I understand why. But these guys are also paid MAX dollars and seem to play less and less. I'd hate to be a GM or owner and know that I need to pay a guy $40+M and they can opt out of playing every third game or so or whatever it is. Maybe teams are protecting their max investments. Who knows, it's just a shame season can't be spaced so that players don't need to rest

Suns took care of business.

Yes! Came from behind to give Mavs 5th straight loss. Dallas is currently 3rd from last in the West.

I feel like the back to back for a guy coming off of injury was normal.

The Spurs just did it to do it.

Knicks TOTAL cap is $92M and that includes $11.5M payments to Noah, Evans, Wayne Ellington lol

Not just that, they're also paying Bertans $16mil per year for 5 years to shoot 36.8% from three and do nothing else

KAT got hit by a drunk driver in the offseason (or his car did), along with all his family deaths, getting covid himself, fracturing his wrist and the Twolves sucking, it's been an absolute hell of a year for him. Wouldn't surprise me if he asks for a trade- I think when you experienced that level of s*** you just want a fresh start after a while.

Bills Simmons compared KAT to the type of game RashWeed Wallace had. Pretty good comp minus the Techical fouls. Wallace was “Tough” and in a different era to be fair.
Minny taking Edwards no 1 and trading for DRussell is a big commitment to make building AROUND KAT. No doubt he is having a tough go of it and could use Kenny Payne to get restarted. KAT demanding a trade would be a dick move with a franchise that has done a lot of him.
Any trade Would include Randle plus picks and another player. They would highly value KAT and I’m not sure I want to pay retail for him.

I don’t think it’s a dick move when you’ve had the year he has- very common for people to want a fresh start after getting bombarded like that

I wasn't a buyer of Bertans last offseason and I have no idea what is going on in WAS. Couple of interesting young players on rosters. Beal, Russell.

Deni seems to be playing well?

3-12 and bunch of delayed games?

Dallas lost again... 8-12 and L5 in a row. Luka barking about how much they suck.

They actually played better last night -- coincidentally KP had the night off.

Bertan's admitted to being out of shape coming into the season. He said he wasn't able to practice in Latvia. They tried to work him in slowly. He was also put on the protocol earlier this month.

Mavs fans openly admit they played more cohesive without KP last year as well. He really doesn’t fit well next to Luka.
