It's funny but we have a young group again by accident. Lin, Shump, Fields, Jorts, Jerome maybe one day we get TD back with his head right. No need to see Bibby if we can get TD going again.

How can we afford to "limit minutes" to two players who eat up 45 million of our cap?
Sorry, I just don't see them fitting in long term.

What I DO see is several key players having more fun without them than with them.

Forget their salaries, those two need to have their minutes cut to save them some wear and tear. We can go 10-12 deep now, I hope MDA expands his roster a bit.

I can kinda see your point, but to me, it's not a great business model
limiting minutes to top earners.
Besides, I'll bet that Melo's ego will demand more PT and may escalate into a trade demand
if not granted.
I swear that I'd move them both in the right deal that included draft picks and players who'd match our team play style.
We have a serious young nucleus in Lin/Shump/Jorts/Landry/Jerome and Tyson.
Think about what a tremendous difference adding draft picks and players to that group would make.

I do not want to see Tony Douglas ever step on the Garden floor again.

But your posts made up for that. Saw all of fourth tho and Man I am as thrilled
As anyone.

This is the most amazing PG play I seen ever as a Knick fan

Can't wait for first A motivated Amare ( May your brother rest in peace)

And then a healthy Melo

I see **** talk bout Melo. But I think we will see the best Melo ever!

Melo with. A pass first PG? Wow we about to bust the **** out!

I hope so. But Melo will fit best if he lets lin be the main guy on the floor. If melo goes back to isos all teh time then this great thing that is happening will be messed up. amare wants a good pg like he had in nash/felton so he is no problem. Melo will definetly get booed if he doesn't let lin take the lead. if he does then we could be dangerous

There were (4) IF's in that last paragraph.
It's too bad that someone who cost us so dearly remains a BIG "IF".

I am a Melo HATER and I predict that he will not fit in, become a distraction
because of his limited minutes, incur the wrath of our fans, and eventually demand a trade.

I agree. I would love to know who decided to send Lin to Erie rather than waive him. I always thought it was Grunwald but I have not seen or read anything to confirm this.

Actually it was Mike that told Glen to grab him cuz he said he liked him from his predraft workout! MDA did an interview and mentioned that conversation he had with Glen.

One highlight on a night of many: late in the first quarter, with Linn getting a much deserved rest, commentator notes "Bibby giving Linn a blow."

Might explain the new found team spirit.

The only props should go to Lin. He's the one playing his ass off.

Grunwald and D'Antoni lucked into this kid playing out of his mind. Nobody saw this coming. Not even Lin himself.

I don't think that this is true.
Source? I'd like to see/hear that interview.
Yes, D'Antoni did say that they liked him when they had him in for a workout in 2010,
but I doubt that he was the driving force behind the signing.
As I remember, D'Antoni actually seemed unsure about Lin at the time of the signing
and he was just picked up for PG insurance when Shump went down.
Imagine....many here were calling it a 10 day contract and Lin would be cut.
That's what went down.

You got to love that GM listens to his coach and gets him what he wants. Team effort from top to bottom.

True I give props to Lin but if not for the Knicks GM he might be else where getting no run.

Wrong.
I saw it coming.
So did Misterearl.
All that this kid needed was a chance.

Actually, BRIGGS saw this coming. sort off. BRIGGS introduced Jeremy Lin to UK 2 years ago before the draft and after that, I was a big Jeremy Lin fan and followed his career.
