If I'm guarding Pietrus, I'm going to sag like 5ft off him and double dog dare him to shoot.

Posted by Marv: Giant Choke job down the stretch. But- why is it the refs in the play offs don't call **** they call in the regular season? I mean, if you're not going to allow teams to play 90's style defense during the regular season, why let them in the play offs? |

Orlando can't hold leads for nothin'. They were doing everything they could to hand this game to Boston tonight. Didn't they blow a 20-point lead and lose a game to the Sixers in the first round?
Orlando takes home court. On other thing, could you imagine how good Dwight would be if he was a killer like Kobe and LeBron? [Edited by - K22 on 2009-05-04 10:37 PM] -- the preceding post was brought to you by the letter K and the number 22.

Orlando better realize that they arent playing the Grizzlies in January. Boston was all but conceding defeat and if not for them missing a few shots down the stretch they would have lost. Magic need to sack up, get mean, and take it from Boston. KG or not.

wow, Howard posts a 16 pts. / 22 rebounds / 3 blocks on 50% shooting statline tonight in a playoff win vs. BOS & he's overrated?

He's good. Real good. Looks like he's been carved out of stone, no homo.
But he's a bit too one-dimensional on offense for me to truly call him great. C'mon, could you imagine if Ewing, Robinson, or Oljuwon were playing against Kendrick Perkins one-on-one in their prime in a big game like that? They wouldnt finish with 16pts. with their team limping to the finish line. I'll tell you that. Thats the difference. Magic had their best game of the playoffs without him. Ewing, Robinson & Olajuwon are 3 of the best bigmen to ever play the game... Dwight Howard's only 23 years old for God's sakes, he has his whole damn career ahead of him to prove what he can turn into... there's no way he's already hit his absolute peak... w/his work ethic, talent & physical ability i think he easily has a chance to reach the level of those NBA greats in time... he's already the best pure C in the game right now as it is by a pretty wide margin... btw, check Kendrick Perkins' statline tonight... not exactly stellar.

Howard's age in comparison to those other three is offset by the fact that he is playing against cats like Sam Dalembert and Kendrick Perkins and not Shaq, Olujuwon...ext.
He's been in the league 5 years now and he clearly has the superior team. Its time for him to beast. I mean, we'll see. Shaq was definitely just as raw offensively early in his career...I dunno, Howard seems too nice and content to be just good. I dont get that feeling that its only a matter of time before he becomes great like other players before him, and guys like Lebron. Oof - Sasha busted Battier wide open. I love how Battier had to point out to the refs that he was busted when half his face was the same color as his jersey.

Man, I wish the Knicks would have been good enough these past few years to get a guy like Artest. You know Artest would have jumped all over the chance to play in NY if we were any good. Would have been great to have him in orange and blue.
Since his early knuckle head years he done a such good job of playing with edge the right way. One of the few players in the league that would have actually fit in with the Knicks of the early 90s. He doesnt back down from shyt. Can call out Kobe and actually mean it. My saliva and spit can split thread into fiber and bits/ So trust me I'm as live as it gets.

Posted by K22: Yao Ming with 2 ticky tack fouls. Laker players going all WWF steel cage match with weapons on the Rockets with no fouls being called. Yep, can see the refs are in rare form tonight. They got their "A" game on, courtesy of Commissioner Stern. My saliva and spit can split thread into fiber and bits/ So trust me I'm as live as it gets.
