![]() Man, wishing my guy Landry luck. Say what you want about Dolan, but at least he never gave his 27 yo son the reins to the franchise.
https://theathletic.com/4086123/2023/01/13/atlanta-hawks-trae-young-nate-mcmillan-power-structure/ Inside the end of the Travis Schlenk era in Atlanta, the Hawks’ new power structure and how it’s impacting the team As Fox Sports’ Ric Bucher reported recently, league sources confirmed to The Athletic that Nick Ressler’s effect on the decision-making process played a pivotal part in the power dynamics that ultimately lead to Schlenk’s exile. This was a bit of an open secret around the league, and it is clear that Nick Ressler’s voice is being heavily considered on all things Hawks these days. But now, amid all these on-court struggles, Murray now finds himself navigating an environment that is wholly different from the only other NBA spot he’s ever known. He spent the first six seasons with a San Antonio Spurs organization that is known for its lack of drama. As he admitted, the transition from there to here has been challenging. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

Trust fund baby son has convinced dad he knows what’s best for the franchise and has essentially hired many of his college buddies to go along for the ride. Everyone with a significant role is in their 20s or 30s and doesn’t have any real front office experience. Generally speaking Dolan leaves the basketball to the basketball people. This 27 year old owners son is running a franchise now like it’s 2k. |

He’s on that huge contract for a non-Star, and has regressed, I’m guessing due to the situation in Atlanta. His asking price is always high but no way is he worth a good player and picks. Utah and Indiana can take him but will want to get him for cheap to absorb the contract. He would be a very good 4/5 off the bench behind Randle and Mitch. |

I'd do it for Obi and a first rounder, but is that trade justifiable for a guy who might be playing 29 mins a game? Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more.
