The TEAM played bad tonight and it's against arguably the best team in the league.

Agreed. Miami is by far the best defensive team in the league. Their rotations on defense are extremely fast, they have active hands and antcipate well. Best team in the league at this point without a doubt.

Agruable? Uh ... no!

My bad...The Thunder and the Bulls suck.

I got off work late and missed most of the game. WTF happened tonight? Lin looked shook as hell, I saw the Knicks getting jerked on calls in what little I caught of the 1st half, but they were hanging in there. I get home, and I see the Knicks down double digits, with body language like they had already lost by the time the one minute into the 4th quarter, and the idiot sportscasters sucking the Heat like porno whores...

They shut Lin down? Damn, this was played up as the Big Game, and Jeremy looked like a deer in headlights. Not looking forward to seeing the highlights, and probably won't watch the the replay since I recorded it.

Why, in the 4th quarter, were the Knicks just watching rebounds sail over their heads and not looking motivated enough to grab the ball? I saw no sense of emergency from the Knick players on the floor as they showed in the past several games. It actually reminded me of some of the Knicks years that I'm still trying to forget.

I know the team still has to gel, but I am curious to know who among the NYK players even tried to step up as a leader and tell the other players to MAN THE HELL UP...
Now I will have to attempt to prevent this poor performance from putting a damper on my All-Star weekend. Ugh...

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

But nobody is close to the Heat this year.

This is still a team learning to play together, so this loss gets a pass, especially since it's against the hottest team in the league now. But Lin was mentally taken out of the game early. He didn't have the confidence to drive into the lane; he was tentative and throwing up loopers instead of driving strong, even in fast breaks. Kid seems mentally exhausted in trying to figure out the defenses being thrown at him.

This team needs Melo to win. He's the only guy on the whole court whose presence can take pressure off Lin. It's up to MDA to figure out how to use them both effectively. Everyone else is a complementary piece.

Can someone tell Fields to practice his jumpshot and to put more arc into his three pointer? I'd be shooting it 3 hours a day if I were him.

Shump may not be the best shooter but he really does give opposing guards a problem. More than Lin or Fields.

When Miami took Lin away from the game, we reverted to the pre-Linsanity Knicks and then we just fell apart in the 4th. We hung our heads, definitely.

I think the atmosphere got to Lin early. He might not have been quite as unsettled at MSG, but I think we still would have lost.

Not sure bout that. He really feeds off that MSG crowd. I guess we will find out soon.

I agree but he has to keep his hands up on out of bounds plays.

I agree but he gets up for LeBron. Lets hope this carries over after the allstar break.

If that is how it went down, we got exposed. This team still lacks leadership. Where were the Knicks' "tri-Captains"???? Did they "try" to galvanize the head-hung players and demand that the bitchassness stop? That should not have to all fall on Lin to do, because there are a lot of other guys out there on the floor who SHOULD have more heart than that. Where were the vocal leaders? Were they hanging their heads, too?

What made me the most disgusted was that too often during the 4th quarter, the Knick team on the floor looked scared, confused and already defeated when they still had a fighting chance to get back in the gotdamn game and close those wretched Heat bastards the hell out.

Trying to stave off the inevitable headache now...

Heat man-handled Lin. A lot of non calls. Ref using the no blood no foul anything Lin. Stupid Kenny even said NBA is "No Boys Allowed". When Lin did find his mates for a layup, they botch it up. Tyson, Amare, Melo, Fields...Did not matter. They all missed their layups. We even tried some ISO with Melo and those did not go in either.

2 Things Lin did wrong that he did not do in other games.
1. He picked up hi dribble a lot.
2. On PnR, Heat used a hard show and Lin held the ball too long. Lin needed to swing the ball as there were 2 guys on him high and swinging early would have caused a 4 on 3.

both are correctible and I am not worried.

The Heat were very physical and were allowed to play that way by the refs. They also are so quick and put a ton of pressure on Lin. Novak, and Smith both played well. Carmelo had moments and Amare tried hard but just isn't back yet. The Knicks turned the ball over a ton of times (19?). Joel Anthony seemed to block anyone that got into the paint. It was a tough night.

Tyson tried and even got a tech. Melo pissed me off a little as he was smiling and socializing with Wade and LeDouche the whole game. Amare was trying and carried us for a bit in the 1st half but he could not continue the same effort in the 2nd half.

Lin looked distracted. Perhaps the situation somewhat overwhelmed him. By the 2nd half Lin was so out of it that he missed a ton of easy passes to STAT and others. A game like this is gonna happen over the course of a season. No player can be at the top of his game every night. In the playoffs the Heat won't have the benefit of catching us on the 2nd game of a bac 2 bac and by the playoffs this team will have gained much need experience together.

This team really will benefit from the All Star Break and the practice days they'll be able to have. I'm actually very optimistic about this team. They didn't play well and still were in this game!!! That was Miami going hard and we made them take a TON of tough shots but the ball bounced Miami's way a LOT. Part of that was Miami's extra hustle and our guys lack of it at times. No Knick fan should bash the team over a loss like this at this point in the teams development. The Knicks will get better.

I attribute this loss to the "TNT Curse". Can anyone remember the last time we won on TNT and please don't say Christmas day.

this also confirms all that nonsense that Baron Davis should start over Lin—He sucked too.
