Alexander Johnson is my guess.

My hope sure. I stopped guessing at 20.

Anyway we're up again. Let's see who we pass over... er, I mean draft. This is like a comedy, with the commentators providing some hilarious Knick bashing.

You guys have to be laughing.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

People were screaming for perimter defenders all year. We finally have a guy who can guard 2's and 3's.

Ager to Dallas.

V, I don't think people are arguing that he may help the team in some fashion. But I don't think any mock had Balkman in the top 40. We could've used the #29, or bought the #27 or bought an early second rounder.

Instead, we passed up a shot at getting Balkman AND another very good player.

I dont understand why you guys think you know other GM's boards. Balkman had very good workouts and was moving up boards. He could've been gone between 20 to 29. If they had Balkman as the top guy on the board, why would they pick someone below him and risk losing him.

Teams that really needed PG's...needed a STARTER at PG passed on Marcus Williams.

I don't understand. What happened to all of the staunch Isiah supporters? The guy doesn't have a shred of business sense. He gets by in an executive position with an eye for talent.

As per NBADraft.net
Renaldo Balkman registered a 7'1" wingspan 9.1% greater than his 6'5.25" height.

Renaldo Balkman had just 4.9% body fat

omg, why can't we give cash to the Suns to get a free first round pick?

to all you guys not bashing the Renaldo pick, there you go, we could have bought him at 27 basically

god I hate you Isiah

Obviously, you haven't watch much tv, or read much. Apparently the Knicks are strap for cash. See Larry Brown and Lenny Wilkens.

This is fun...I'm like the only Knick fan in the world who likes this guy. I was really focusing on him 29, but we don't know the other GM's boards. You guys keep screaming for defense and hustle...this guy is it.

Marcus Williams is slow and slower. Not every college star works out. Wait and see.

***

We have a like a million guards why do we need another one. We need to thin out the backcourt. We need defensive help we got it.

Balkman, who has raised his level of play to never-before-seen heights in the NIT Final Four, couldn’t agree more. “I know the streets of New York and I LOVED playing at the Garden,” he intoned in his pleasant basso profundo. “Man, that place was magic. It inspired me to do things on the floor I never even knew I was able to do.” Balkman, who’s often been called “a poor man’s (Dennis) Rodman,” takes that comparison as a great compliment. “Sure,” he smiles. “Sometimes I feel I’m just like him. I like to go out there, play hard, do whatever it takes to win, running the floor, hitting the boards, jump into the stands, cause havoc, whatever.”

“That extra energy and hustle is the key to my making the league,” added Balkman. “I fully realize that.”

I agree with these comments.

I like the type of player the Knicks selected. A heart player. A defensive player.

Maybe M Williams will be a decent backup to Kidd. But do the Knicks need another guard who can't play defense?

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

You can only go off of the info you know. There was no logical sign Balkman was going anywhere near the first round. I don't buy it.
