5.2 assists and 7.5 rebounds is not quite larry bird or lebron james territory-- it's closer to pierce-- but is still a very balanced statline.
i don't see where there is any room for tearing the guy down unless you want to tear down frazier, wade, pierce, and bird.
I think we know where this is coming from.. LOL.. Durant is a great player, and what seems to be a classy guy.... tearing him down isn't going to bring him down another level, and it isn't going to raise the level of your favorite player, especially if he is playing like crap.... the shots being taken at Durant are absolutely ridiculous on every level... especially since he is playing very well...
Agreed....but this is where TS% doesn't truly determine outcome or success. I've always maintained this is a very tricky metric in which to put all your eggs in a basket for.
Durant has played extremely well not only with his offense but his all around game but what's been missing from him is the late game play making. You can fault Brooks to an extent too. He's called/not called a couple shaky plays in which Fisher pretty much derailed their opportunities.
What I don't see from Durant is the....I'M NOT LOSING THIS GAME NO MATTER WHAT ATTITUDE...
This is why I came down on him like a Ton of Brick conceding the scoring title to Melo when he had the lead. What kind of competitor does this?
That kind of mentality will get you nowhere. You have no idea if or when a teammate will go down, where you will end up seed wise for the playoffs, or how refs will dictate a game. But you can always have as a player I WILL NOT LOSE MENTALITY....no one can take that from you. Not sure Durant is built this way yet and yes he deserves the same criticism Lebron started receiving after his 6th 7th yrs in the league. The only difference Lebron avoided the struggle and took the safe route cutting corners.
As far as Melo goes there is no comparison Durant is clearly a better PLAYER
