If he passes more and eliminates the 18 foot fadeaway from his repertoire, he’s an all star. Eliminating that fadeaway forces him to work harder to get his points, but he’s built like a brawler. Angry Randle on the low block that passes just a bit better and brings the 3pt up a few more points replaces Dray Green in all conversations. He should be angry that Wiggins took his all star nod. I’d be angry.

I think this is a false narrative that somehow Mitchell, Brunson and Randle can't thrive together. I am confident in Thibs ability to coach. I would agree that Randle's mindset last season was bad, and if that continues, he will need to be traded. I think Brunson worked wonderfully off the ball with Luka, Mitchell is dynamic enough to find space off cuts and picks. And Randle, yes, is more of a round hole in a square one! But, he is a big beefy dude that can bully the way to the basket, and that is something teams need in the play offs.

I would personally be stoked to see the three of them, with RJ - who you leave out as needing the ball in his hands- with Robinson.

Well we can all relax. We aren’t getting Mitchell and Randle isn’t going anywhere next 2-3 years

The Knicks trading pick #11, signing Brunson and IHart, keeping Mitch… and the hottest Knicks story is are the Knicks signing the friends of Donovan Mitchell because we would want to make him happy after the Knicks hypothetically trade for him…

Great news! Ainge does not like that we are not as dumb as the wolves. I am excited to see how the current team plays with an actual PG.

I think if this trade happens at all it will be right before training camp. I can also see Ainge holding onto Spider into the season and try again at the trade deadline. But regardless I hope we stand our ground and not get bullied and pressured into a trade.

Being in top shape definitely helps. BUT, imo, comes down to 3pt shooting. Think for many players like Randle, if you can shoot close to 40% from three, you are an All Star.
Feel the only difference from last year was that he was not as good from three. We of course notice the turnovers and issues with fans more.

Can't see why they would hold on to DM till mid season. Also think that DM has been a good soldier through this because he has been promised he will be traded to a team of his choosing prior to the start of the season.

Definitely glad we have been patient. Still think 5 picks, Rose, Cam, Obi, Deuce is a fair price and pretty big haul for them. Anything more seems too high a price. Would even say we should keep Obi off and add Roka and Keels. All guys who won't see much of the floor anytime soon. They would also be able to flip Rose and Cam for more picks. If not, then we should be the ones to wait and see what things are till the All Star break. We shall see.

Hard disagree here. In the middle of last season a clip of Randle from his All NBA season went viral on Knicks twitter. The clip was him sprinting back to get on D after making a FT because I think AD was cherry picking. It went viral for just how much of a contrast it was to the current season at the time. Randle's effort level was trash. I think the reason why he lost a ton of weight this offseason is to help increase his effort level next year.
