I don't understand some of you guys, this franchise we root for has been a dysfunctional mess, losing at an alarming rate every yr he's been here. We have won ONE playoff series in almost 20 yrs...

Kp hated mills, and he hated the direction of the franchise, and he specifically hated the way they treated his close friends on the team(melo, willy, kanter, kuz).

Would you jump into a marriage with a dysfunctional bitch just because she has nice body and cute face, but doesn't clean, cook, or work, and she's been telling you for yrs she's going to change.

Some peoples priorities are different from others, and his priority is winning, not money and fame.

I loved Knicks since 2015 draft day, but when my favorite player goes I go with him. Im Mavs fan now!
See ya. Treat this like a NYC turnstile that only turns one way and don't come back. Let me guess, you used to be a Bulls fan until Jordan retired?

Reality, you weren't a Knick fan to begin with so you won't be missed.

All you do is get angry. Its possible things turn out great this offseason even though it doesnt fit your negative narrative

Everything is possible.

But swinging for the fences and hitting a groundball to first every time isn't the way to build a successful franchise. Sometimes all you need is a single.

KP basically said that he was gonna sign a QO then walk unless they traded him. We ended up with 2 firsts,a recent lottery pick, and ability to sign two top free agents. Not sure what more they could of done
You could have gotten better young players and better picks for Porzingis but we went for the cap space over the future.
Like who? Give us some names.

Right now they probably could not do much better although I think we could of held out for both picks to be unprotected. If Im the Mavs Im tanking like crazy the rest of the way because they won't get many more chances to improve the team now. I wanted to trade him 2 years ago, I feel vindicated now. Porzingis level Dickdom is rare

Yup. Im a Knicks,Mets,Jets, and Rangers fan so i know misery. Ive only been alive for 2 titles but I only remember the 94 stanley cup. Despite all the hardships I would never root for another team. Loyalty is big for me

You have no idea why he left. He just went to a team thats not winning.
He left a situation that had potential. Something just does not add up.
You don’t understand things then leave it at that. I don’t understand all of why he left.
As for your question, The part thats funny is “For years she is telling you she is going to change”. So is the dude happy? You say “Dysfuncitonal Bitch” because she won’t clean, cook or work?
What about “Stay healthy, rebound and be a good teammate”?

BTW, once a upon a Nalod had a hot tempered but gorgeous girlfriend. Bit dysfunctional. The fights were worth the makeup angry sex! She was fun, really nice to look at, party with, drove me nuts, and very very physical. I did not marry her. A few girls later I met my dream girl, married her and 32 year later still amazingly happy. Maybe KP is not the one. Perhaps there is a future player or combo that will bring it together and the team relevevant for a long time.
Open concept. It’s not easy to buy into if your a knick fan, but things are different.

It has been an open secret in the NBA for months that the Knicks have been exploring every avenue to create max salary slots for this offseason, in pursuit of landing Durant and a second star this summer. Rival executives were salivating over the possibility of the Knicks securing a commitment from Durant and another star this summer, only for them to then have to find a way to create the space necessary to actually sign them. Some thought the price for doing so could be up to as many as three future first-round picks, which fits right in line with the roughly $18 million to $20 million rate per pick the league has essentially come to when determining the value of a first-rounder to dump salary.

So the Knicks had a choice: use their young players and draft capital to create the space to pair two stars with Porzingis, or use Porzingis to create the space -- and add additional assets on top of it.

When he comes back, he will be a monster. And Mavs now have 2 young superstars KP(23) and Doncic(19). When THJ contract ends, they will be able to add another star and they still be young. Very good situation for Dallas.

he has said he will sign a qualifying offer so he may be gone within a year....some loyalty. By the way why are you still here. If you really just a KP slave then there is no need to be on here anymore. I think KP needs his legs waxed so you should go

He didn't request a trade, he just didn't commit to the future. Skipped exit meetings, staying away from the franchise when healthy and injured during the off season, mills and perry never visiting him in the off season. It was Fiz who volunteered to make that trip.

He never ever wavered from his stance of wanting to see improvement, and there's no way you can consider this an improvement.

The biggest tell tell sign....JANIS SAID last season, HE WOULD NOT SIGNED A ROOKIE EXTENSION UNTIL THEY SHOWED THAT , BUT 99% OF PEOPLE thought he was blowing smoke.

He was label the unicorn not just because of his skill set(7 3" player that can cross over and shoot 3's), his entire way of thinking(no rookie ever turned down a rookie extension), and having your brother as a manager (never seen this before in no sport)..

the stupidity of people thinking we controlled him because we drafted him..ooookay..

YOU (absolutely under no circumstance) CAN HAVE A PLAYER NEAR YOUR TEAM WHO DOESN'T WANT TO BE THERE, so the only thing you can control is where you can trade him to..

The signs were there, ya'll just chose to be naive..

Yeah ive noticed all "the experts" that claim we got nothing back never offer a better/realistic return we should of gotten
Because they would get laughed off the forum with their Damian Lillard and three first round picks for KP proposal.

Who in the blue hell in Kristaps Porzingis to ask for (much less demand) anything? What made him think he deserved playing on a roster ready made for a championship or even playoff contention? Exactly how has he established himself as being worthy of that? Fukking entitled man-child being empowered by legions of idiot fans and media ***wipes. This is why the NBA is what it is today.

Your right. Those with hope and logic were proved wrong. Now we deal and face new circumstances and challenges.

At the end of the day what do you have for all your trouble? More money? New Friends? KP is a different cat and went against the logic. You should congratulate yourself for having predicted we should worry about him leaving. fact is we trade his ass for the space that might bring in something big. If so, then you got all the haul from Dallas PLUS, two future first rounders and we kept our youth.
You will no doubt side that “Nobody here will come”..........If you do now is the time to own it. If you do, then you’ll be correct. If not, your cred is not maintained.

IN any even your still an agenda fueled crackhead Rainman. But your OUR Rainman!1!
If I were you I’d drop the microphone, proclaim your mental knick superiority and leave for good on a high note!!! You’d be a legend!!!
