Like i said one bad game after playing like an all star against a great team is not something to kill him for. I mean he has been playing crazy minutes and once this team gels we will beat mimai

Im just worried about his psyche. All this attention, then the last game against Deron and now this game where he was just vanquished. I expect him to be ok, just hope he isn't that tough on him and makes it his personal mission to conquer this tough D Miami imposed on him.

Some signs of life from STAT, but I am still looking for consistency and increased productiion.

Our defense disappears when our offense can't get going. They killed Lin's game so they killed our offense and then made our D vanish.

They killed us with the pick and roll. Bosh was wide open for the pick and pop. Nobody rotated over to him. Heat also killed us on the offensive glass.

Am I the only one who thinks we could give the Heat a serious run in a 7 game series? I'm already over this bs game. Knicks are deep as **** and are making the playoffs, no doubt.

This is much like the Nets game where he left the bench unit in too long in the second quarter, shifting the momentum to the Nets who never looked back from that point. This game Lin was ****ing garbage and D'Antoni stuck to him in the first half, when it was clear he was turning the ball over for easy baskets at least 1/3 possessions.

And then when the bench unit cut the lead to 8 in the fourth quarter, he left Melo and Amare out of the game and the bench unit started to play like scrubs, pushing the lead to 14 by the time the starters came back in.

We were down 4 at halftime. I'm not saying that Lin wasn't a factor in the loss but saying anyone lost the game in the 1st half is just ignorant.

I agree. I think one thing that will help is JR geting more practice time where he learns how to initiate the offense and let Lin play off the ball. One thong i wpi;d have liked was more passing from everyone. They also need to learn how to move when they post up Melo.

The TEAM played bad tonight and it's against arguably the best team in the league.

I thought Melo played great inspired D tonight. Forced Lebron into many tough shots with no help D.

But, uh... "so goes Lin, so goes the Knicks..." - that has to stop. Don't we have two guys to prevent something like this?

They are playing like CRAP. So really, as Lin goes, the Knicks go...

Why are people blaming Lin for the loss? Nobody else was doing much either.

we could have had like a 4 or 6 point lead. that's a huge swing.

Actually I think it's the other way round. Our defense often fuels our offense.

Remember the days pre-Linsanity? We still had the pieces on D, but were so messed up on offense. When our offense is running well, our D gets focused and guys don't miss their spots. When our offense is taken away from us, well, you get a game like tonight.

This type of game exposes him as a good role player rather than a contender's starting SG.

I think the scariest thing out of this game wasn't Lin's play, but how our stars disappeared. I'd swear I saw more good plays and more of a fight from J.R. and Novak than from Melo and Amare...

Agreed. Miami is by far the best defensive team in the league. Their rotations on defense are extremely fast, they have active hands and antcipate well. Best team in the league at this point without a doubt.

eaxctly. its funny how lin is getting all the blame. i mean its not 1 on 5. our whole team sucked, chanderl and amare got killed by anthony and other than novak nobody else could make shots. melo had a decent game but he is still knocking rust off. the heat caught us at a bad time. next time will be different

I agree but he has to keep his hands up on out of bounds plays.

Not worried about this lost to much. Not gonna run into too many teams that got 2 of the best players in the history of the game on one team. No other team can do what they did to us. When our time comes, we'll take care of the Heat. They had alot more time to gel than we had. We'll be fine fellas.

Melo hardly got touches in the first half. Melo took LeBron off the dribble and got to the basket AT WILL. Thing is, Miami has such great help defense and shotblocking that 5 of his lay-ups were swatted. Say he makes 2 of those 5 blocked shots: his 7/20 FG looks more like 9/20 FG, which is a solid night against the best defense in basketball.

Melo played solid defense on LeBron and did what he could on offense. I agree with yellowboy: Melo would benefit a ton of his teammates new how to move off the ball when he posts up. There are NO CUTTERS when Melo gets the ball in his sweet spot.
