Really question if Hawkins can/will guard anyone at NBA level and he seems to have a real reluctance to put the ball on the floor.

I really love how he glides around the floor - almost like he is on skates and others in the mud. His off ball movement is great and wow the catch and shoot from distance going in either direction is pretty special.

Could picture him running with our 2nd unit —- IQ, Hawkins, Hart, Obi, Hart — would be such a fast line-up.

Stan van funds was right on it. Jordan Hawkins is a catch and shoot. Not a spot up. Meaning even w a defender draped on n him. He’s still 40% from 3. Spot up he probably makes 45-47. His release is like Klay Thompson. And he’s no 6-2. He’s somewhere between 6-4/6-5. He was close to having the dunk of the year last night. His shooting will skyrocket him in this draft. Shooting is a premium skill

He’s no bigger than 6’2.5” without shoes on. Either that or he shows short.

Maybe 6-4 with shoes on, but again, he looks and plays tiny on the basketball court.

You understand that this info is fairly look-up-able? We don’t need to squint at videos and guess?

What’s going on here?

Hawkins is listed at 6’ 5”. But seems there are posters here who prefer to make s#!t up.

Some good points in this article….

- Hawkins no iso buckets all year and only 7 buckets off drives all season —- is that possible?
- scouts think Jackson Jr could fill an NBA role without much scoring — he’s certainly likable
- the Miami wing J Miller kind of reminds me of Darius Bazley who has struggled to make an impact so far

Must be halfcourt. I saw another stat that said he had the most dunk attempts and misses for someone with 200+ three point attempts. It kind of shows. He's a solid enough athlete but not much of a creater of the dribble. I need to know what they consider an iso play in the metric they're using.

So did the tournament kill all the chatter about Brandon Miller going #2?

Based on chatter from draft heads on twitter, I'd think so. Probably going max #3.

I am watching Rayan Rupert and Sidy Cissoko right now. If we ended up with the 11ish pick from Dallas, I would trade back to get one of these guys and additional compensation. Roster wise, I would move one of the other protected picks to end up with both. Run them both in Westchester for 2023-24. Both are projects but I they both look like guys that could take big steps forward. I assume I will get the Frank comments on these french picks, but I think these guys are legit.

Both are incredible and have size, hops, motor. Shooting could improve, but rayan is pegged at top 10, and okc is not letting him go past him their spot. Sidy, we could get, but would you take him over Hawkins of UConn?

Did we even get to the point of doing side by side video height eye-squint sizing to determine if Hawkins is 6'2" versus 6'7"? I forgot where we left off. That would probably be a determining factor

I have been pretty well in the category of biometrics over NCAA performance. I think there are players that have really good coaching so they appear more polished. But when it comes down to it I believe positional wingspan and athletic ability are more necessary to translate into the NBA.

In the 10+ range in the draft, I think you are more likely to find your diamond in the rough based on biometrics. Last year I was all about Tari Eason. His numbers aren’t startling anyone in Houston, but I think there are teams that would pick him sooner in a redraft. He looks like a rotation players.

Last year I took Jalen Wiliams.

This year Im going Trayce Jackson as best available player after 10. Hes the only big man who makes plays with the dribble and an array of offensive skills with a diverse premium rim protection ability /defensive skill package. I heard the comment we dont need the position but I always want the BPA

Forgive me, but what does Jalen Williams have to do with 2023?

Rupert is raw, but he's got good athleticism and feel. He makes good reads off cuts and finding cutters I'm a fan. Would definitely be down for a draft and stash. Cissoko is weird to me. He's had an up and down G-League and I'm not sure I have him over Leonard Miller. He's a decent passer, but nothing about his game really pops to me.

You did.

What does last year have to do with this year, is my question?
