That's an interesting take.

I just don't see Giddey THAT high. He is tall and makes some nice passes but do you see him as a starting level player with high end potential?

I guess the potential may be there but his lack of strength and craftiness with the dribble would make me pause. Maybe I have not seen the right video clips.

I see Davion as top 10 but not top 5 - especially ahead of Cade.

Suddenly your love of Mobley is gone?

Yeah, Mobley and Kuminga are probably safe as far as the top 5. Kuminga's physical profile and coachability will go a long way and he did show some flashes from 3. The next five are pretty fluid and I could see Giddey sneaking into there. He has weaknesses, but so does everyone in that range. Are you that confident that Scottie Barnes will translate to the next level? Can I guarantee you that Davion Mitchell won't be more than a role player and that he flourished because he was able to beat up on kids at the college level?

Or does he have enough athleticism/defense to lean towards becoming another Donovan Mitchell? I don't watch enough cbb to know

I’d have Cade one if he had a big time motor. Suggs Mitchell both do both ways. I feel they are winning players first. I’m tempted to put Green first—- I think he’s the most talented out of all of them. I snuck Giddey in to the top 5 as I believe he’s a unique 6-9 ish pg who looks very very smart and all his skills will continue. He’s a little athletic ability away from vying for top 3.
Mobley looked a little less center position kd like as season went on— so he drops from top 5

Why is cade cunningahm so much better than this guy? I dont think he is---this guy better passer for sure as well. He looks bigger in this clip p[hysically---could be 6-8/6-9 225/230 when he fills out.

Yeah I agree with what I said. That case isn’t going to be much better than giddey. Giddy right now is a better passer and probably a better rebounder. Cade can be a tier 1 scorer to he’s higher but overall I’m not thinking by much

Fingers crossed for Dallas to suck the rest of the season.

Tre Mann is someone I wouldn't mind if Bouknight isn't available. He's a gifted scorer, with very good handles, nice pull up J and is an improving passer. He isn't as athletic as Bouknight but he's the more consistent shooter. Could see him eventually displacing Alec Burks.

It’s hard to make any predictions around our picks when we’re currently 6th in the East and would currently go straight to the playoffs without a play-in. But Miami only has one win less, and already that place leads to the play-in where we can drop out and end up in the lottery at the end. Although even if we end up in the lottery, we should remember that the Knicks only once got a better pick than it should have been in terms of score, and that was ’85 when we got the first pick and Ewing in the first lottery. After that, each time it was either a place according to the score or even lower. How unlucky that is...but maybe Dallas will drop out and their pick will be happier in the lottery

Basically, we should concentrate on the picks from the 15th to the 22nd for now. Who will be available there is hard to say at this point because because it’s still relatively early and the mocks are constantly changing drastically.

Bouknight would be great, but I don’t believe he will be available. I think Ziaire Williams has potential if he is available, Kispert and Ayo are OK.

I like Moody and Giddey, but of course they won’t be available at the time.

Right now Giddey and Mann are my guys to watch in our range. Two PG who if we grab one of Lonzo or Conley or even Schroeder they can be converted to other roles (Giddey into a SF and Mann into a SG). If I had to put them in order of drafting Giddey with our pick around 15 and Mann with the likely 18-20 Mavs pick. Ironically enough Mann might be more useful since Burks might not come back and their games aren’t that different. Giddey could be really good as a mismatch based on size. With the Second rounder I hope they draft Charles Bassey. Add another shot blocker to the rotation. It does suck that we’re working ourselves to a mid tier pick in the best draft in at least 5 years, there is talent late.

Just some other notes on this draft from a fan.
Ziaire reminds me too much of Reddish and I worry his narrow frame means he ends up another to skinny to be effective player (aka Knox and so far Obi). Length wise he is good, but Thibs has no patience so why draft a project.

Kispert probably won’t fall past the Pelicans because he would be too perfect for that team. They need a Reddish

Bouknight seems like the type of player that will ball out during work outs and get taken early.

Moody gives me Mikal Bridges vibes and that is a good thing

The top 5 look like they will all have great careers

Jalen Johnson both in game and attitude should be drafted by the kings. That team has a lot rebellious youth on it, but they are talented. So he fits the character, plus they could use a upgrade at PF because Bagley is not it for them.

That tier 1 scoring means Cade can take over a game. I don’t think Giddey is at that level.

I’ve mentioned this before but Jared Butler is comfortably one of my safe picks. Can’t gaurentee he’ll become our Malcolm Brogdon but he has one of the highest floors. Shooting and passing are his biggest strengths and one of our teams biggest needs and he fits that to a tee while adding to our defensive identity. Having watched Baylor almost all season I personally still like him over Mitchell but I believe both will excel in the league. His finishing does need to improve, but his left hand is still pretty strong from what I’ve seen. He’a not that quick or explosive but we’ve seen time and time again how guards with his skill set can still be a big impact.

Cade is a franchise player! He fits the mold of that 6'8 wing player that can do it all and a very high level- score, pass, rebound, BB IQ, clutch..etc. These are the type of players you win championships with. He's number 1 for sure.

When evaluating young talent, a lot of times our eyes seem to fixate on the offensive end and we don't prioritize the defensive end of the ball as much. Mobley is an elite two-way player who is still progressing offensively. He has the tools and make up to be perennial all star in this league. He is definitely top 5.

In a couple of years, Jalen Green will be a 20 pt per game scorer year to year. Possibly, 25 pts per depending on his team and role. One of the most explosive players in this draft and a pure bucket-getter.

Mitchell is probably the best defensive guard in the draft. Near impossible to keep out of the pain especially if his jumper is falling. I like him a lot....but not enough to place him in the top 5.

Been evaluating Giddy, lately...Love his size and feel for the game, but when watching his film, my eyes spend more time watching the competition. The comp is smallish and not very good. Need to watch more to get a better feel for his game. Right now, I'm not seeing top 5.

Suggs has a little Chris Paul in his game in terms of being a bulldog and a natural leader. Along with Cade, he will change a franchise immediately.
