we didn't lose because of lin. we didn't rebound defend or make shots it happens

Dude Lin sucked and looked lost. He was missing open guys all night.

At least we fought. This was far from a blowout. It was not all negative. Lin needed to see that and HE WILL LEARN FROM THIS. We really missed shump and this was back to back.

And no. I am not Nixluva

Practice time over the ASB will be huge.

Bosh killed us in the pick and pop. Chandler refused to leave the paint and recover on him.

It is, but I really didn't expect the Knicks to win. They competed good for the half. This is a good learning game. They won't face another team like this. We need to avoid the heat for as long as we can.

JR smith with another good game, he and Novak did what they could to keep us in the game.

Our young point guard with only a dozen starts under his belt got exposed by the best team in the East. Can't get too annoyed about that.

But, uh... "so goes Lin, so goes the Knicks..." - that has to stop. Don't we have two guys to prevent something like this?

I think this loss will be better for the Knicks than last year's win.

It would have been a blowout if the refs had their way! I hate Rondo but these refs deserve an errant pass to their faces every now and then

Only way to see it positively.

But we actually looked worse than when we first played the Heat this season. Miami did whatever they wanted with us defensively. They destroyed Lin's will in this game. At the end of the first quarter, he wasn't even a shadow of Linsanity.

Miami also proved you can take Lin out of the game and still contain our supposed "stars". But more than Lin's disappointment, Im more disappointed in Melo and Amare. THey were spectators rather than attackers. They weren't initiators and never picked up Lin when he was getting hammered by the Heat's defense. They were terribly ordinary.

If we were over .500, this wouldn't hurt as much because for the third time we try to move above .500 and we failed. YEs, Miami was great, I get it. We have a long way to go before we are at their level, but the pieces are there. Melo and Amare need to remember they are stars, because role players from the Heat looked better than them.

Sighs... We go 17-18 to the All Star break. Great...

put it to you this way. not to say this is like 99 but that miami team that year was playing lights out and blew us out in the regular season and the playoffs was a different story. we need to get used to each other and the next two weeks will be crucial. they need to take this break to get their head right and use this second half as crunch time. lin will be okay and will be prepared next time.

oh, lin definitely lost the game in the first half. but another thing that needs to be pointed out is D'Antoni's idiocy with the rotations. This is much like the Nets game where he left the bench unit in too long in the second quarter, shifting the momentum to the Nets who never looked back from that point. This game Lin was ****ing garbage and D'Antoni stuck to him in the first half, when it was clear he was turning the ball over for easy baskets at least 1/3 possessions.

And then when the bench unit cut the lead to 8 in the fourth quarter, he left Melo and Amare out of the game and the bench unit started to play like scrubs, pushing the lead to 14 by the time the starters came back in.

"LINISH HIM!"

Well damn.

On the road, second half of a back to back, playing against the hottest team in the league...not exactly a must win. But this is our halftime! 1 game in 9 days, perfect opportunity to get this team up and running as a unit. Congratulations Miami, we'll see you in NY.

Thankfully I've been annoyed enough by the bickering about Melo and Lin in this thread that I didn't have time to be annoyed by the game.

Go Knicks, and **** the Heat! Goodnight.

Yada yada. Phuck him. His opinion is worthless. He is a HEat and once he goes back to their lockers, he will start making fun at how they are the Lin-busters.

one thing they need to do is to install a zone D. I liked their effort except for a few occasions. The TOs killed us

Some signs of life from STAT, but I am still looking for consistency and increased productiion.

Our defense disappears when our offense can't get going. They killed Lin's game so they killed our offense and then made our D vanish.

Actually I think it's the other way round. Our defense often fuels our offense.

We have 2 player making superstar money that are clearly not superstars. You would think that since the heat game planned for Lin our "superstars" would be able to takeover. So right now it pretty much goes if you stop Lin the knicks can't win.
