Thats just wrong!

These fans can suck a nut. I'm embarrassed by them and for them.

Carmelo played like typical ballhog garbage again.

leading up to the 4th qtr the team actually played really well tonight. landry seemed like landry, walker stepped up, toney even hit a few shots.

then the fourth quarter hits and the team completely reverts to melo ball.

i don't think it's just melo demanding the ball, i think it's the other guys feeling comfortable dumping it off to him. they have to get out of that mindset.

of course, amar'e still seemed totally out of it and either doesn't know where to go on the floor to get his shots or is limited somehow. he has no explosion this season. guys can talk about the team being much better with the felton/gallo team... but it was really amar'e playing at an MVP-level, scoring 30+ in 9 straight games during the 13 game winning streak. around xmastime last season he seemed to break down a little from playing so many minutes and he's really been slipping ever since. the difference in the team could easily be amar'e going from being an mvp caliber player to antawn jamison-lite in less than a year.

melo's not playing well either. everyone tonight who said the team played better with melo on the bench will get their chance to see if they're right as he's sitting at least the next game.

Hopefully the coach will point that out when they watch video of what went wrong.

To be fair, I have more faith in melo making a shot whilst being contested by 3 defenders, than either TD or landry Fields making an open 3!

I hate all Melo's iso's (really it seemed like the 4thQ and both OT's seemed to only consist of Melo going iso- ridiculous), but I get why he's doing it- no one else is really making shots. Yes you can argue he's just compounding the problem by not passing, but sometimes he does pass to open guys and they either brick the shot or fumble the pass- eventually he decides to take it all on himself.

Lamest excuse I've ever heard. Same crap was said about Marbury and Iverson.

"Why are their assist numbers down?"

"They pass the ball but their teammates aren't making shots! Not their fault! hurhur"

Carmelo played the same way in Denver with a better roster. The excuse making needs to end.

There is no way, under any circumstance, even if Bippity was on the court, that taking a shot while triple teamed is acceptable. No way whatsoever.

Same, I admit really dislike Melo but I do have to say that I respect what he did at the end of the game, that was serious balling there.
Clutch shot after clutch shot after clutch shot.

The guy is really gifted, sadly the more time goes, the more he looks like Marbury to me.

10 for 30 and didn't allow the other kids to touch the ball in either OT. Can't respect that.

Come on, I don't like Melo, but every single p;layer was running away from the ball, scared like chickens.

He didn't. You have to give credit for this. My boy Gallo didn't do anything in the 1st OT and waited the 2nd one to put the final nail on the coffin. In the meantime, Melo was scoring again and again.

Nobody wanted to touch the damn ball like it was the plague. Melo had the balls to, I respect that.

See that is one big difference with Gallo and Melo. Gallo saw that Bicycle Helmet was on fire in the 1st OT so he let the offense go through him. Once he saw that Buckets was getting tired...Gallo took over.

The biggest difference is that Gallo excels when his teammates are involved whereas Melo does when he ignores his teammates.

The biggest difference in the game last night was a 28 foot prayer by Miller.

Did anyone get a kick out of Al Harrington doing the Skip to My Lou after making it rain in the 2nd OT? Love that guy, just not as the first scoring option on my team.

Ha- at this point I would like to refer you all to my prediction on the first page of this thread! (ignore the bit where I said we'd get blown out)

I think KARL & Denver have to know Melo really well to send the entire team at him knowing his shot is going up. All it would've taken was a simple kick out pass. Whether it goes in or not at least you can a shot attempt

Childs2Dudley You can complain all you want to but you have 2 choices 1. Suck it up and face the fact that this is the team now and if you don't like them just turn off the game and stop complaining. 2. Just pick another team to root for. Maybe the Heat or Denver. All you are doing is complaining and it ain't gonna change things. It is what it is. I chose to watch a little bit of the games then turn to a movie when I see them falling apart and thats around the second half of the game. I can just sense it. So instead of throwing a shoe at the tv screen I just turn to a movie and read some posts on the forum and it looks like to me you just might have a STROKE getting so upset. Maybe be like NixLuva and take a vacation for a while.

We have the Garden crowd to thank ...

for Melo’s post-game comments of "Maybe I need to not take so many shots. I don’t know." Think about this, all throughout Melo’s career, his coaches have never dared tell him that he shoots too damn much and doesn’t pass enough. But last night, at the Garden, when the crowd chanted “pass, pass, pass” whenever Melo touched the ball, I seriously believe that was the FIRST time in his career that he has ever heard such an order. It is clear that Wusstoni doesn’t have the balls to tell him, and I think it was WONDERFUL that Knick fans took it upon themselves to coach this team. I love it !! Collectively us fans know what’s wrong with this team and how we can fix it. I am not positive, but I bet Melo never heard chants in Denver like he heard last night !! To all the die hard Knick fans out there that will be attending Knick games in the future, I beg you to PLEASE continue to keep the chanting and the coaching going. It IS definitely working which is evident from Melo’s comments, and we all know Wusstoni won’t do it so KEEP IT UP KNICK FANS !!!!

I dont know why some make so many excuses for melo. I mean i understand some like him but like another person said the garden was even chanting PASS!. look I undersstand he made a few big shots at the end but his overal game sucked yesterday and that was because he forced up shots when double or triple teamed. I mean if he just used his head he would realiz that if he is getting double teamed others guys will be open
