ESPN is reporting that Stromile Swift is on his way back to Memphis. Swift was included along with the rights to Rudy Gay (#8) from Houston to Memphis for Shane Battier.

You gotta be kidding. With a 20th pick you want an NBA superstar? Teams that needed PG's desperately passed on Williams.

Renaldo Balkman Draft Capsule

VITALS: 6-8, 208, South Carolina

OVERVIEW: A hardnosed player, Balkman was a key member of South Carolina's consecutive NIT titles in 2005 and 2006. The Most Valuable Player on the Gamecocks' latest championship run, he scored 10 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked six shots in the title game against Michigan. Averaged 9.6 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in appearing in all 38 games of his junior season. Named to the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team in 2003-04.

LIKELY DRAFT POSITION: A wild card. Balkman could slip into the bottom of the first round or he could last until deep into the second round.

COMPARATIVE UPSIDE: Cedric Ceballos

COMPARATIVE DOWNSIDE: Anthony Bonner

ROLE PROJECTION: Balkman has no defined position but is a high-energy player who makes things happen on both ends. Likely a career reserve, but the type of player every team needs.

POSITIVES: Balkman runs the court like a panther, eating up huge chunks of real estate and literally running circles around the opposition. He manages to get in the middle of more plays than nearly every other player. He scores all hustle baskets, from tipping in missed shots to finishing on the break to making improbable drives where he simply out-quicks the competition. He can guard small forwards and has the lateral movement to take on big guards as well.
