I think this is a smokescreen.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

there are definatly some good players out there... no ifs ands or buts about it. Assuming we have no shot at Bogut, Green, Marvin I would say there's a good 10 players I would be pretty excited about. Its hard to rank some because we have only seen glimpses. Who knows if Blatche doesnt have Dirk potential, or Rashard Lewis or if he's another Odom.

I'd be excited about Bynum, Graham, Blatche, Warrick, Frye, Wright, Granger, Taft (in that order). I don't know enough about Webster, but he seems like an option too. Problem is, I think Toronto's draft board right now is:

1) Felton
2) Graham
3) Wright

So, chances are, one of the college SGs we want will be gone, as Felton is almost a top 5 pick at this point. I think it's a lock Toronto unloads Alston, and the one Knicks trade I think is most likely to happen this summer is Jalen Rose for Penny, Toronto buys out Penny, saves $18million or so.

As for whether the Frye story is a smoke screen: I don't think so. I'm sure Zeke was/is considering him at 8, I don't think it's a LOCK he takes him, but he's clearly researching the pick. I don't buy that Zeke would have some weird paper in Arizona run interference for him three weeks before the draft. I don't see it. I think the story was legit, but I don't think the Knicks have offered a promise YET. There's also rumors Golden State has offered a promise to Frye, possibly to keep him from working out for Lakers and the Knicks.

Promises. Tell Omar Cook about them. If he like Bynum over Frye he will drop Frye like nothing. I still think it is possible that the Knicks grab one of those Euros too.

Not saying that there isn't something legit to Isiah looking at Frye. However, whose to say that Isiah isn't looking at him for the #30 pick? He was projected as a late first rounder not that long ago.

Isiah is being a good GM in the fact that he's checking out players like Frye. However, the hype is artificial and makes for good reading. If we're hearing that Isiah is in love with Frye, I'd bet 2:1 that it means he isn't. If Isiah was in love with Frye, he'd keep hush hush about it.

Something tells me we're going to do better than Frye for our first pick.

If Isiah is in love with Frye I would feel like that means hes gonna be a pretty damn good player.
