To be honest, I don't see any teams above us taking him.

I figure it goes something like this:

1. Bucks - M Williams
2. Hawks - Boigut
3. Blaze - I think they'll trade down, but C Paul goes here
4. Hornets - D Williams
5. Bobcats - Gerald Green or Ray Felton
6. Jazz - Green, Felton or Antoine Wright
7. Raptors - Danny Granger or Antoine Wright (I don't think the Raptors take a HS center a year after Araujo and with a roster full of huge holes)
8. Knicks - Bynum

That looks fine to me, but why would the Bucks take M. Williams instead of Bogut?
Because a lot of organizations aren't sold on Bogut. He lacks qualities that gets GMs excited about. Marvin Williams just came off a title run wearing NC colors, scouts generally believe that he has the most upside out of any of these guys. And they believe he is a franchise type player. Many scouts questioned whether Bogut's game will transfer to the next level at a all-star level.

fish read the post, I said Checketts. Besides Tapscott already outted Grunfeld as giving him the advice on Weiss, I guess Ernie already had people scouting him. Makes sense, Grunfeld was only fire like 2 months before the draft. Tapscott basically picked up stuff on Ernie's desk.

either way that draft was Tapscott. Checketts wasnt a basketball guy, he was a business guy. Also while there is no doubt that draft was a bust once Ernie became the GM he was pretty instrumental in reviving a team that had become horribly stagnant. He got Kurt Thomas off the scrap heap. He moved a malcontent in Mason for LJ who hit nothing but big shots and was a great leader. He moved an old Oakley for Camby. He moved Starks, Cummings and Mills for Sprewell.

He's also done a very good job in Washington. Ernie is one of the better GMs in the league. Every GM makes mistakes, but the majority of his moves were pretty solid.

let's not forget Checketts.... bringing in Nelly

come on...there was nothing wrong with Nelly wanting Ewing to handle the ball less. I wish Ewing handled the ball less back then, he would back players down with his HIGH dribble that often got poked away for a turnover.

Frankly Atlanta would do themselves right if they just traded the pick and picked up Charlotes next two picks, which would give atlanta a shot at our boy, and possibly and Antonie Wright.....

Why did we have to win those ****ing games at the end
