and bla bla bla, what do the Knicks have that any other team doesn't?
um, to answer your question, most teams don't have a star PG and 4 1st rd picks over the next two years.

"UM"? LOok at you, trying to snit again!

Dude, most teams don't have a ONE HUNDRED AND FIVE MILLION DOLLAR PAYROLL, NO CENTER, NO ONE TALLER THAN 6-9 WHO CAN PLAY, HAS NO COACH,
A STUMPY POINT GUARD WHO WE ARE REBUILDING AROUND AND 4 DRAFT PICKS.

A LOT OF TEAM CAN MAKE THE PLAYOFFS WITH DRAFT PICKS AND SUPERSTARS AND HAVE DECENT CAP ALTERNATIVES. THEY EVEN WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS.

THE FUTURE IS BRIGHTER CUZ WE REALLY SUCK, AND WE GOTTA GET BETTER, BUT ISIAH SAID NOTHING, SO IF WE STILL ARE SMARTING OVER LAST SEASON, THATS OK TOO. STEVEN A. COULD HAVE REALLY LAID INTO ISIAH OR ASKED THE TOUGH QUESTIONS, BUT HE SUCKED UP INSTEAD. FILLER, JUST FLUFFY FILLER.

Isiah still has not dictated his direction. Typical knick stuff, we don't set a play, just try and try to make a deal and see what happens! What good is having all these picks if we are not commited to rebuilding?

When you inherit a mess from Dolan it's hard to just make up a plan and stick to it cause your options are very limited.

I think you have to take advantage of every good oppurtunity reguardless if it's not part of a specific plan. That's what I believe Isiah is doing. Once we get rid of Tim and Penny we will have a set plan.

Thanks, and don't get me wrong, I want Isiah to do what ever is needed to get it done! I am not hating, just calling out him, as I did with Layden to commit to rebuilding!

I don't think we can do that and try to win with veterans! We seem spit. This reeks of dolan.

No, I don't want a new owner either, cuz strattled with Debt to buy the team ain't gonna help either.

Dolans money with a PLAN is what we need. IM not excited about draft picks when he is touting Malik and Mo. T! Talk about Reezy and sweets, the draft. Don't tell me about getting younger and more athletic yet at the same time we getting shorter!

In fact, Isiah, you could have skipped the whole thing until after the draft! I have no reason to be excited about next year. Blow it up and lose every game, then I am excited cuz we then have a plan! Then I know we got a COMMITMENT to a direction!

Maybe I can get excited, or buy into the next false "buzz" they thow our way.

Sign Antoine walker, or trade for paul pierce and I am a net fan exclusively!

Show em' my new motto!

Sure he has draft pics, coming from teams who win so they will be higher picks - odds of getting talent, not so good.
The picks vary throughout the 1st rd draft. One is likely #8 this year; one is #30; one could be anywhere from 20 to 30 next year depending on Duncan's health; and one I think is our own lottery-protected pick next year. It's not really accurate to say the picks he's alluding to are only late 1st rd picks; they're spread throughout the 1st round.

Actually it's very accurate to say the picks that Isiah is alluding to are only late 1st rd picks. When Isiah says that they have 4 picks, he's saying that they have 2 more than they would have had so you can exclude their own picks and focus on the ones he acquired at the trade deadline. Those 2 picks are 30th and most likely a very low first rd pick based on San Antonio's recent history of being one of the best teams in the NBA.

If draft picks are so important now then what was he talking about in my sig? Another contradiction and flip flop in plans? I think so.

that was Bizzarro Zeke from the alternate universe. Bonn only refers to super Zeke who is right now as we speak building the Knicks into a title contender

There's a distinction between (a) having draft picks and (b) rebuilding through the draft. Having draft picks gives you options, including the possibility of trading them. I don't expect Isiah to keep of those picks.

Not sure what your point is. ALL four picks (not just the two from the Nazy trade) are part of the team's future (whether they're used in trades or used to draft our own players). And all four are spread throughout the first round.

Do you think IT will even be around long enough, what does he think, he has a 5 year payment plan. His answers are the questions in reverse.

Getting a bit ahead of yourself, fish. I don't think anyone here has even said that Isiah has been successful yet let alone building a contender.

I don't know if you are aware of it Bonn, but every team gets a 1st round pick except for Minny every other year or whatever.

So IT saying that he now has 4 1st round picks is like me buying in a poker game with 10 dollars, cashing out with 20 dollars, and saying I won 20 dollars.

He has only gotten us the two LAST 1st round picks as an extra, and those are terrible. They are the worst picks to have. It is guaranteed salary for 2nd round talent. That's why teams like to get rid of these late picks.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Huh? Isiah didn't say he himself brought in all four picks. He just said that we have four 1st rd picks and they're part of the team's future. You would be incorrect in your example to say that you had won 20 dollars, but you would be correct to say that you had 20 dollars. Similarly, Isiah has merely said that we have the 4 1st rd picks.

Its not what HE said, its what YOU said.

Sometimes Bonn, you eat it with syrup, then you know your eating ass!

You like to twist things and say its jelly, but even so, your still eating ass.

Not angry, just laughing over myself.

The sad part is that he doesn't need jelly or syrup as long as it's Isiah's salad that he's tossing.

What virtually every NBA GM can say: "We have 2 first round picks, 2 mid level exceptions, an LLE, expiring contracts and young athletic players to build around."

But for some reason the 30th pick and a bottom 5 1st rd pick is supposed to make our future brighter. Guaranteed money and roster spots for 2 players that are 2nd round crap shoot quality players.
