I think there will be a ton of SGs comeing out this yrs draft and Finley makes big money for a long time.

I would rather sign Raja Bell for cheap who can play defense, hustle beat people down the court, and nail 3pters with consistancy. You also have to think about it this way. If we land a top flight SG then you have to trade Crawford because Marbury and the top flight SG will get huge amounts of mins. With a team guy like Bell he can get 28 stong mins and Crawford could get 30 strong mins with Ariza getting whats left.

but come on man...Raja Bell? is he going to be an impact player for this team? i highly doubt it...a solid backup certainly, but the question posed was how Craw could be utilized as a 6th man off the bench effectively...if you have Marbury, Finley & Craw as a 3 G rotation it would be alot more impactful than a Marbury, Craw & Bell rotation.

A rookie has no legitimate shot at starting on a Knicks team ever. If he's a center then maybe or the next Ewing or Bogut. The Knicks need a center with their first pick!

How is Raja Bell defensively. He has decent size at 6'5/ 210 but Lebron light up the Jazz for 36 lastnight!

that right there is an even worser trade...Why would I trade big for small? Kurt, Mo, and Ariza for Stack, Dan, and Howard??? that is a dumb trade...We would have two Houston in Stack while given up postup player and a young talent.....

You are giving up SO much...Ariza AND the draft pick?!? No way, I don't see it. You want a trade I would do...KT, Mo, the pick and Ariza for Stackhouse, Daniels, Howard. I don't like giving up so much youth and at least one trade commodity for so little in return. We are actually getting older with this trade.

Dumb trade.....2 young promising players and a scorer with One less year than Finley for KT, Mo Ariza and a pick...you think that is a "dumber" trade than KT, Ariza and a pick for Finley and just Howard?!? We are getting MORE youth, and getting rid if a big contract a year sooner taking Stack instead of Finley.... I was one of the posters that liked the Mo trade, but there is no way I consider the dood a dealbreaker...

so you're saying he's injury prone? then what good will he do us?

A strained groined is not the end of the world. he just needs to rest it for a few months. sometimes those injuries take a whole season to heel. He's be 100% next year.

how about a simple trade of Mo T & a 2nd rounder for Stack straight up? both contracts expire the same year.

C - KT / draft pick / Butler or other summer leaguer
PF - Sweetney / Rose / JYD
SF - TT / Ariza
SG - Stackhouse / Penny
PG - Marbury / Crawford
IR - Houston

not a blockbuster by any means, but at least it addresses a need & clears up the glut at PF.

Now, I really think that you are nuts....Look here, let's propose smart trades, not crazy trades that will turn our team into a freaking hospital...Stack has had a bad knee all throughout the last 3 years...Now, when Houston is off of our roster with his $20 millions contract, we can revisit such a trade....Besides, Mo is bigger and most of all a better fit for the Knicks....Forget about Stackhouse....

C - KT / Rose / Butler / (draft pick)
PF - Mo T / Sweetney / JYD
SF - TT / Ariza / Penny
SG - Houston / Crawford / Penny / (draft Pick)
PG - Marbury / Crawford / Jermain Jackson

What do you think?

Isn't that what Houston said about his knee?

TMS is that Isiah and 90% of the people on the site.....

I would trade Ariza for Josh Howard any day of the week....Thats a bad move for Dallas, Cuban has done a good job for that team in the long run.....

BTW the Stack trade was made for the #5 pick, in three years dallas is still going to be a good team because of that move, i wouldn't do the deal because i don't want stack but that gives us leverage, then we can move crawford and get something in return a year down the road

Harris
Daniels/Finley
Howard
Dirk
Damp

positions 1-4 are set for 6 years
