Sorry about your mis-fortune. Hope you feel better.

After reading this thread I remembered how SMART I was last weekend. I went on a basketball binge. I played 7 games in 1 day. My biggest mistake was not stretching for the 1st game. I warmed up and had a great day. My jumper was on and I was driving and jumping with ease. I actually had a dunk off a missed shot. I haven't done that in 10 years. Well, I go home and feeling good about myself tucked the kids in and went to sleep with my wife. The following morning, I couldn't get off the bed! My back stiffened up. I am still in pain to date. My B-Ball day was last saturday. Dang! It sucks to be old.

I am turning 36 this month by the way.

Geez....I started alot of other ACL threads....this was the first one.....I started this thread just a few days after I did it.

Just to give an update.....I haven't worked out in almost 2 months! I gained a little weight too. It sucks man......between kids, wife, work.....when do I get a chance to clean my ass properly let alone get in the gym and strengthen my leg?

I'm gonna give up on the YMCA for now and cancel that membership. I am putting somebodies kid through college, paying for nothing!!! I'm gonna get me a curl bar and try to do some home workouts. I still got time to make my goal of January 20th.

Damn the rain man....damn the RAIN!!!! My knee is like Doppler 7!!! I can predict the weather more than ever now! The weather channel calls me for info on local weather!!!!

Ah bro......I need to play some ball....I'm gonna die if I don't!

Eny, if you are out of shape, don't even think about playing ball. You'll just hurt yourself. For real.

Getting old sucks!

I'm 25 and I guess that's the age where it all falls down.

dude, wait until you hit 30, bigger drop off there.

Dudes!! I'm 3 weeks from FIVE-O!!! Just you wait!!!

Oh yea ?? OHH YEAAA?? I'm three months away from 21 baby!! Can't wait! lol And you thought 50 would be bad! I'm just kiddin.

Spree its great that you're still motivated and have your goal in mind. It'll be no time before you reach it I actually met this girl who played basketball from texas when I was in DC this summer and she told me she tore her ACL three times! I didn't believe her at first because she was walking and moving around fine but her mom confirmed she did. I never heard of anyone tearing it 3 times.

Hmmm as far as I go I have yet to break anything. When I was 15, I was getting out of the car when my dad moved it. The tire caught my sandal and dragged my foot under the car. My reflex was to pull it out and it was pretty ugly. I was fortunate enough not to break any bones but it took a lot of time for the skin to heal because its not like I could get stiches the way I was cut. But its fine now and only a scar remains.
