Actually, his rebounding hasn't been BAD. He averages 8 a game, which isn't great for most centers, however it's pretty good for a guy who has very little athletic ability. He's a good position rebounder, just like Kurt Thomas.
Most guys who are like, 7'3" and above barely turn out to be anything in the NBA and have very little impact, so 8 rebounds from Big Z is something to be thankful for, if anything. Same story with Yao.
I didn't say it was bad. It's just mediocre. Boozer's 11.4 definitely helped compensate for the Cavs getting only 8 from their starting center
