Who cares? the deal already went through, now we have to make the best of it. Both Malik and Mo can contribute to our need, we just have to find what will make them produce. that is all. Forget about Nazr, let's move on. Isiah couldn't do no better with what he has. We've already won a game after that trade and we will see plenty more Ws. sTOP b*TCHING

Wow ET. That doesn't even go up there with drinking kool-aid. I think that's more like taking crack. What are you thinking?

It's not a 'who cares?' We got f'd in the a with this deal, even if the SA deal was good. Mo doesn't fill a need. We'll see plenty more wins with Malik Rose and Mo Taylor? OK, guy, whatever. This is a guy that doesn't help us. Now we're the smallest team in the league, just like in the Layden days, we're even further into salary cap HELL and we got a scrub who was a good, athletic player FIVE YEARS AGO! He's not a good or athletic player now. This was a terrible deal. His contract is not valuable. He's one of the worst contracts in the NBA. I can't believe we went and got ANOTHER one of the worst contracts in the NBA.

You can like Isiah all you want, but if you can't admit that Isiah MAJORLY f'd up, you're insane. The only possible logic here would be to say that Mo Taylor sucks so bad that we're tanking on purpose. Anything other than that is plain denial.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Dudettes! check this out, I look at this deal in the bright side. Isiah has talents that he can now trade to upgrade. You may not be able to see what he is trying to do right now, but sure enough later on you will see it. We are having a hard time at trading Kurt Thomas who is a decent performer, how else were we supposed to get rid of Moochie and Vinny??? For a while now Isiah has been trying to get rid of Coochie but no one in the league really wanted him. Again, take a chill pill and allow Isiah time to justify this trade. I just want for him to go on and bring in Jamal Sampson to play Center, because we are really thin at that spot. Bruno and TT are the only two who are at least 6'10" on this roster....

they will never understand, they are blinded by hate and will never see that by trading 6mil in expiring contracts we just gained 10mil in expiring contracts that will expire just 1 year after. The hateraid is to strong for them to use their noggen and think. They wont see that there is no difference in being 50mil and 90mil over the cap. like gunsnewing said the only bad contracts we can take are the ones that go past 2008.

Hell, if you buyout Baker and Moochie its better than trading them for Taylor. I support Isiah on a number of occassions but I don't understand what he was doing with the Houston deal. The only positive I see is that the team is better right now then it was yesterday with Taylor on the team, however, it isn't worth the price we gave up to get him. With that said, I still want to wait and see what Isiah does this offseason but he really screwed up with the Houston deal.

You guys are harsh......too harsh.

Isiah has made alot of good moves since he's been hear and since he traded the key to the KVH trade Nazr he proved that no one is safe if they do not play hard and be consistant.

you people are a joke.........these deals are TERRIBLE!!!!!

Isiah is a joke, his deals are a joke and my knicks are in shmables because of this moron.......how are you giving him such a free ride? hell, at this point id bring back layden.....

how many undersized, out of place players can we overpay? leave it up to isiah to find out!! "tweeners" describes the majority of our team....kurt, jyd, rose, taylor, craw, tt, ariza........this is a freaking joke and everyone is laughing at us!

what we really need to do is pressure dolan to sell the team. as long as he is around we have no shot.....

call checketts and grunfield!

the Mo taylor trade, where we are actually giving them picks and taking on 13+mm in salary for what is really our 5th undersized PF has to go down as one of the dumbest trades in NY history, REGARDLESS of what this guy does. I think you should take the himt isiah, HE WAS ON THE HOUSTON IR FOR A REASON!!!!!

Im not going to say Nazr for malik was a terrible move for this reason. It does give us two additional picks and while this years may not be that high, next year there will always be an unkown factor that could really effect the pick--like Duncan injury etc... so it has value.

This year draft is the last where college and foreign under age kids may enter the draft, so the possibility of slippage is good. No one can disagree about the increase in high caliber talent found at the end of the first round in the last 5 years... i.e Gil arenas, mike redd, carlos boozer, david harrison, josh howard, rasahrd lewis, Al harrington--if you look at NBA draft history, you can CLEARLY see a dramatic change in the talent levels at the bottom of round 1 since HS and foreign players became prevelant.

But the moves are contradictory, and there is a long shot possibility we could actually lose pick 31 to Houston and gain pick 30 for SA. that would be something, but Im willing to tak that chance with Nazr. We werent winning anything with nazr

isiah has a plan whereas Layden did not. Layden told you about how good the current team was. how good spoon, eisely and shandon were leaving us with no hope for the future. Isiah has shown that he will do whatever it takes to improve the team and if its packages expiring contracts then so be it. If layden traded for nazr. Nazr would've been our center for 10years and we would continue to have 30win seasons. Isiah doesn't except that!

The problem is Isiah has too many plans. You can't rebuild in NY. We're rebuilding. It doesn't make sense to rebuild thru the draft. Trade for picks. We can't keep taking on big contracts. Take on more big contracts. Naz is the key to the KVH trade. Trade Naz.

After every move he has a different justification and a different plan.

well he was out of touch with the game from a GM standpoint so the TT/Nazr mistake is understandable imo. Now he's more in tune with whats going on in the league and with the knicks especially now he sees that the only way we're gonna get better is by transitioning from overpaid vets to young potential draft picks & allstars.

I like to call in the Allan Houston plan because once he's gone we're in great shape. until then we have to keep trading ending contracts for younger players and drafting wisely.

Isiah has spent his whole life in basketball. Do you really think he didn't know what was happening in the league when he was hired? I don't think so and if it was true - he shouldn't have been hired.

As far everything being ok when Houston is gone I don't agree. When Houston is gone our chances definitely improve (if we don't pick up more long-term bad contracts) but you still have to build the team. It's only one expired problem - their will still be a lot of work to do.

What if Mo comes in and establishes himself as the go to guy in our lineup and turn his game around to resemble Chris Webbers'? That boy has the skills and abilities to be that type of player, perhaps given the proper playing time and if he feels like the team is build around him, he can be very special. However, it will be Marburry and Crawfford's job to bring out the best out of the front court. One thing is for sure now, we have guys that can actually play the game of basketball upfront. We still need a scrappy Center......
