Well that was somewhat fun yet unneccesary, but a win is a win

I started rooting for losses a couple of weeks ago. I hope we lose every game for the remainder of the season, but somehow develop our younger players at the same time.

Man, can't wait to see that shot on SportCenter tomorrow morning.
I was disappointed to see Ariza and Sweets both get under 20 minutes.

that was brutal, we deserved to lose that one so badly. a loss is better than a win in this situation, not because were going to get 90 more ping pongers or something, but to truly realize just where you are. a win is a false impersenation of hope. We need luck at the lottery, we dont need TT to bank a 23 footer off the top of the backboard. This team needs hope, it needs a break, because it is a BAD BAD team. Unless some things fall our way, I dont expect a winning team for 2-3 years, and maybe we can re-evaluate from there. We are in a wicked quagmire, we're in deep sht, thats about all I can say right now.

interesting that marbury would choose this game to take 8 shots. Did he just want to emphasize his importance, and see where his usual 30 points would come from tonight?

I heard on the radio while driving...and it was the worst time because I heard static since I was in the bad area...all I heard was:

"Thomas.....knicks win....at the buzzer" and I was like "Oh man." You know what though? I love the game winners. If the Knicks are in a position to win the game on a game winner, I will root for them to win...This is if they are tied, with seconds to go..If they are down three with five seconds, I don't want them to. I sure do love seeing Knicks highlights.

Dude, please cut Marburry some slack. This dude is not healthy at all, but he is on the court every night playing fourty minutes plus. He has yet to complain about his health. I and many other real fans know that this dude has been doing things that HOuston the big money man has no heart to do. Hats off to Marburry for effort.

Hats off to Marburry for effort.

Glad to see how far "effort" has taken us this season.

When a team is projected to be a #3 seed in the conference and is 10+ games under .500, no player is free from criticism, and rightfully so.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Hey! 6 games back from the #3 seed and injury riddled AND losing 17 of 20 and still 6 games back. If you are going to jump ship, do so now...I see a huge second half!

I know we're now going to beat this subject totally to death but I am curious about why you think it's better for this franchise to get into the playoffs this year given their current circumstances as opposed to getting the hightest draft pick possible?

Nature will take its course. If they were healthy we lose. we can't lose them all, but we are 4-19 in the last stretch of stench.

So long as Isiah does not change things short term, we are going down fast.

At some point we shelve Marbs to rest his "injuries"!

But you cant just tank, its too damaging and it carries over. YOu gotta try.

Marv, your right, you do try to get the best players. Yesterday I read an article about fan apathy and feel like they were fleeced. I can understand, they don't want to tank! Hit up season tix holders for a 20% hike, and field this team? I'd be pissed!

I guess it's because I'm a real fan. I like my teams to get into the tournament where anything can happen (8th seeded knicks get to final).

Maybe I'm on the wrong board...I've always assumed fan boards were all about winning as many games as they can, not tanking as many as possible.

The knicks were good before they got ravaged by injuries...I see no reason why a run can't be put together to win the atlantic division and take the #3 seed in the playoffs...heaven forbid tim thomas continues to put up 10-5-5 numbers and Ariza continues to improve into the tim thomas we expected. Crawford is slowly returning from his injuries and marbs is beginning to get some rest finally.

Nazr has a groin pull and is still giving it his all. Marbs is running on fumes and gets criticized for not getting 30 points in a TEAM WIN.

I cheered like crazy when TT hit that 3 pointer...from the looks of your post, you were disappointed.

I guess I'm just a fan and as a fan, I like my team making the playoffs and having something to cheer for and wearing my knick hat and talking smack to nets and celtics fans (which appearently post to this board) .

I'm not in the mood to argue back and forth the merits of making the playoffs, I'm just rooting for my favorite team. Take that for what it is.

Let's take it to the sixers tonight!!! GO KNICKS!!!!

OK, I gotcha. You explained it well. And I'm not in the mood to argue either. Except . . . I think you can still be a real fan while taking more than one approach to where the team is now. It's kind of an intriguing time for all us Knick fans.
