Tim Thomas averages 10 PPG in the month of december (including the 2 point foul prone clunker in Jersey)

Houston just put up 17 in 20 minutes of play.

Last night's rotation is a first round win...add a little Sweetney and Ariza (both DNP's for the night) and we make it past the second round.
all kool aid all the time.

How do you know the Knicks don't end up playing the Cavs or Pistons in the 1st round this year? Just what eastern conference playoff contending team do you think the Knicks are clearly better than as currently constructed?

The big man doesn't have to score a lot of points, he has to be a low post threat.

you won't need a scoring bigman as much if you have 3 perimeter players like Marbury, Vince & Houston on the team...all you need is a guy like KT who can work off the pick & roll along w/a shotblocking defensive minded C who can patrol the paint, because our perimeter defense is about as bad as any team in the league...i would bet you that Dalembert would average at least 10 ppg anyway w/Marbury dishing the ball to him on penetration.
What can we win with that team. A team has Marbury, H2O, Vince, KT and Dalembert wont even win the Eastern Conference. What we should do is wait for the big contracts we have to get to the last year and trade for a low post threat.

Either way, my point was that most of the Knick fan base has been pining for a young low post threat.

i thought all of you thought Sweetney would fill that role someday? this team's biggest need if DEFENSE...a shotblocker like Dalembert who can rip down rebounds too would do wonders for this team, trust me...it would be like having Nazr from the NJ game every single night.

depends on the package...are you suggesting a trade of Nazr & Moochie for Foyle & Murphy or something along those lines?

I still dont think Sweetney will fill that role someday. I am not completely convinced about Sweetney. He has to lose some weight to get quicker and he has to grow 2 inches. He shows flashes so it might be a matter of time.

The teams biggest need on defense would be a shot blocker, biggest need on offense is low post. If we are going to wait for Sweetney to show up, he can block shots and rip down rebounds as well. Nazr from the NJ game had points in the post. If Dalembert can do that, then we have our low post threat and you can have your young athletic shot blocker too.

Did Murphy get a contract extention I could have sworn he did but it doesn't show it on hoopshype??? It probably wouldn't work out unless we were able to unload KT though.

Nazr scored only 8 points that game, but his impact was felt on the defensive end & in his tremendous shotblocking...i'm telling you right now, you add Dalembert to this roster & he'll EASILY give you a double double & at least 3-4 blocked shots every night...that's the type of C we need here.

Sweetney is already there offensively. He gets to the line virtually every time they give him the ball. It's his footing on defense thats the issue but that will get better with experience.

As is, we are better than Cleveland and Orlando.
Houston wasn't there when Orlando threw the zone at us and we already beat up on cleveland.

As I see it, Miami wins top seed, Detroit obviously puts it back together and we get 3 for winning atlantic, but not having better record then the 4 and 5 seed of cleveland and orlando (in no particular order)

that leaves washington, philly, indiana.

Yes, we are better then them AND cleveland AND orlando...had we won last night, you would have agreed 100%...so don't blow smoke up me arse.

no, actually i wouldn't have...

i don't see any clear cut winner in a series between NY & ORL, NY & CLE, NY & WAS, or NY & IND (even w/o Ron Artest)...NY would probably beat PHI, but they'll probably be facing the #1 seed in MIA or DET anyway by season's end.

i think this team really needs that dominant shotblocking presence to put them over the top...& you add Vince Carter & Donyell Marshall to that team along w/Dalembert? shoot, then the Knicks would have as good a team on paper as any elite team in the league imho.

Give me a break. Like he's the only guy on the team who takes bad shots. He only had one year of college, and has been stuck carrying the Bulls. He will be fine. Trading him for Mr. Brittle is nuts.

getting Amare (current league MVP) healthy didnt hurt. Getting Richardson didnt hurt. Signing Steven Hunter didnt hurt.

I bet if we got Amare Stoudemire it would quickly make Steph a more mature PG.

Seems indisputable to me.

Back to the thread, If Craw is the future he would have to learn how to play with a talented big man.

How did he and Curry get along on the court?

If he learns what it is to be a piece of the puzzle , and not the main cog that to me will show he has turn the corner a little.

Vince in Orange and Blue would make Dolan a happy Camper and the fans would have a guy who could help take us to another level.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

How many more excuses will we hear today?

Young players who are good and smart won't continute to go from team to team and do the same thing... unless he isn't that smart

Developing potential is a process! Jamal needs a lot of work, this is certainly not new. Marbs did not become a tenured mature patient point by playing in the olympics! He is still raw and got suckered into a testosterone induced confrontation he could not walk away from. The knicks got menatally schooled last nite.

The Knicks are 7-2 in games where Stephon Marbury dished 10 or more assists.

This is why we need team play not ISO ball

A Fisher & Murphy for KT & Norris would be a solid deal.
