While Boston has a much tougher schedule
Somewhat hoping the adjustment back to Tatum could screw up some of the mojo they were getting from all the scrubs playing their hearts out all year.
Also wonder in Knicks minds who they would prefer to avoid most - at least early in the playoffs.
I view ALL 3 of Detroit, Boston and Cleveland as absolute threats to beat us in a series.
Didn't like the Harden add for Cleveland because think he makes them better and game easier for their bigs (who need help)
Don't like having to play Boston after we knocked them out last year (we would have them fighting to the death to avenge last year)
If I think about it long enough I can convince myself we stand best chance against Detroit for really a few reasons.
- they have kicked our ass really bad 3 times (think this puts the pressure on them come playoff time and we will be mentally ready)
- they rely to heavily on Cade (we haven't thrown any special defensive looks at Cade this year)
- I don't trust the perimeter shooting of their non-Cade players in big time playoff moments (kind of like last year thought Hardaway/Beasley would fold in clutch)
I'd say definitely stay away from Boston and yes try to get home court vs them. Cleveland and Detroit may be a toss up to me.
Also - stay the hell away from Hornets.
