Yes - they are missing White/Dosunmo last night - those 2 will add to the ball flying around for Bulls. I think Heat are doing something similar and don't have Herro who should be dynamic in this type of free flowing fast pace system.

Knicks - despite what I saw last night - the pace seems a stretch for some our personnel and more importantly for some of our skill players abilities.

See this with a ton of players now (Deuce for ex.) where the 3PFG% is higher vs the FG% - guys can't finish in traffic or missing more contested mid-range or just don't practice that stuff enough.

I cringe when Deuce attacks the rim because if he ain't dunking or shooting an open layup that shot isn't going in.

Thought our best stretch was with that group and Brunson on bench - not that Jalen was bad but he's kind of 1 man show.
Brunson put up 22 shots in 32 mins - Kat got 11 in 36 minutes. Bridges got 7 shots up.

Nit picky on my part but still would prefer Jalen stop loading up scoring in 1st quarter and save most of damage for 4th while getting everyone else going early on. Yes - nit picky.

I dont know what to look for or what's good or bad to be honest. I mean we were 2 games from the finals last year and we get at least a game 7 except for Aaron Phucking Nesmith becoming Steph Curry and hitting 8 threes in the 4th qtr of game 1. We never recovered from THAT

Brunson needs to be a better floor general and distributor. I get they are playing him off ball more and getting him into situations where he gets the ball and goes to score but 22 shots and 3 assists its bad for the PG. I get Bridges had a bunch, system etc... I think a lot of the scoring is when we lose Brunson looks to drop 40 the next game and will us to win.

With only a view of highlights of last night's game, I kinda like the thought of Mikal distributing more if that means taking over that responsibility from Brunson and having Jalen more C&S and doing his thing as an outlet instead of floor general. AOK for me if Brunson is more effective that way if Mikal is also good at upping his distribution reps without the TO's or stickiness/tunnel vision.

Don't know if that was more purposeful within the offense or just opportunistic last night.

i agree, but alot easier to find another defensive big along with Mitch, vs paying KAT $60m and giving up two for 1.

I would guess that this is the year the Knicks FO wants KAT to show them what he is worth. And especially as a central hub during the regular season and an essential piece that team can count on as much as Brunson, just in his own way. No excuses. Cause Leon gonna need to know that KAT is either worth that $50-60M+ per year in extension years or if he needs to move KAT for Giannis over the next year or 2.

I agree, and it doesn't have to even be for Giannis, trading KAT for 2 solid players could be an option as well. Heck i'd trade him for Randle and Divo right now.

Deep down if I was forced to put $ on it -- I don't think this management staff is going to allow Kat the full season. If they are fully/truly going for it this year I don't believe they have the faith in him to do the right things deep into the playoffs.

Could be wrong - maybe they give it this year and make changes next summer if things don't work but if they are truly viewing this year as going for it all (think they trade him and not just for Giannis - could be another type trade).

Don't think in their hearts they believe we can win with Kat/Jalen both defending late into playoffs.

I'm mostly a Kat guy but he makes too many bonehead plays and shot selection when driving is super sketch.
