Sounds like a Josh/McBride problem. On the other side, they're probably trying to figure out who can hold up Mitch in the paint.

Seriously. What does Indy do when we play Mitch KAT and og? Roll out obi?

A tale of two teams thru the season.

Pacers started out flat with Hali still having leg issues. That roster is now together over two seasons and really finished strong and healthy. Knicks started out a bit flat given roster changes and mid year really were trending well. Jalen missed 15 gams in march and then needed time to get his timing back. Team did not fall off bad, but did not finish with a bang. It was not needed either. It seemed as if Thibs was preparing for the bigger task at hand.

Knicks Finished a game ahead of Indy. Both Teams impressive thru playoffs and provided big upsets.
You need luck to advance at times. Health of your own and lessor for opponents. Knicks had a 7 pt lead on Celts when Tatum went down. I'll give us benefit of the doubt on that game. Question is do knicks still win the series if Tatum plays? They built a 3-1 lead so again I give this to us. I don't think we backed into this.

Pacers exposed Cav's flaw and executed very well. I expect them to do us pretty good also. Question becomes execution? Two good coaches will battle it out.

"Bring out the Gimp!" Mitch looks better and better the more he plays. The foot speed is there. The ally opps are coming back. He is far more effective than at any point in the regular season. We have an advantage. Im sure if Thibs won't figure it out we can do "Fire Thibs 2.0" and many can in his place.

TJ Mconnell fears. Not from me. His minutes are down each of the last 4 years and thus in the playoffs. He is 32. He can guard Jalen but who else? Deuce plays bigger than his height. Him vs. Cam might be fun. They can get grumpy together.

"over rated Hali". It's a myth. The dude is real. Im not saying knicks don't knock his ass back into mythical status again but he got my respect for now. From what I see KAT when his game is on clowns about as much if not more these days. Also his teeth show a lot when he talks. Some people look like they smile more than actually do.

Pacers have a great team, but we were up 2-0 and had a legit chance to go up 3-0 even WITHOUT OG in game 3. We had guys like Burcs and Achiuwa playing major minutes and still went into the 4th quarter of game 3 with a lead.
What if's... sure... but that's a different series if we at least had OG, let alone the rest of the guys we were missing.

On paper there's no way knicks lose to the pacers. But there was no way celtics could lose to the knicks. I really cannot stand the pacers. I hope the knicks win.

We cannot take Indiana for granted. I think they are gonna try to out run us and kick out for open shots. Mitch Robinson’s close out on Jaylen Brown should be studied and replicated.

Pacers are better than they were last year, as are we. I know we beat the Celts, but keep in mind, the Pacers beat the best team in the east in 6. They are more versatile offensively than the Celts. We will have our hands full....

Game 6 Knicks beats the Pacers. Game 5 Knicks loses in 4. I think Game 6 Knicks is the real “team”. Game 5 Knicks is an interesting group of players.

Hali disappears when Mikal makes it hard for him to see.

Neismith and Nembhard are solid players and Hart and Brunson will have to keep them close.

The Siakam/Anunoby rematch will be interesting. The former teammates know each other well. But between Bridges and OG, we have clamps on their two biggest scoring threats.

That leaves KAT and Turner to go head to head. Turner will stay outside and shoot

The bench mins might favor Indiana on offense, but their defense will be suspect. McConnell won’t be as threatening to Deuce when he has MitchBeastPrime patrolling the paint. Obi is a solid shooter but I don’t think he wants to be physical like the Knicks.

KAT should be the hero here. He should bring his big boy pants to the ruckus. If he can get Turner in foul trouble they really have no solution.

It's a copy-Kat league. Wonder if the Pacers will put Siakum on Kat and Turner on Hart and have him lurk around the paint and double Kat in the post.

No good solution for Indiana.

Put Turner on him and KAT pulls him out of drop coverage. Put Siakam and KAT should thrive in the low post requiring help defense due to size advantage. Siakam works if KAT stays at the top of the key. Turner works better if KAT is in low post or running screens.

It’s the reason I think KAT is poised to be the hero here. And if either get in foul trouble, they really don’t have any backups. And OG becomes a mismatch across the board. I’d feed KAT early.

yeah... it really feels like Thibs has a lot of good buttons to press here. KAT has had great success vs. the Pacers and simply looks like a terrible problem for them.

Our centers just feel REALLY superior. There is nobody to hide Haliburton on. There is no answer (in the league maybe) for a healthy Mitch off the bench. All these feisty little phucks that the Pacers play are all good matchups on both ends for McBride.

Bottom line is our size is better and Haliburton is going to HAVE to guard a scorer. I will laugh if Carlisle's big move is putting Hali on Josh

game 1 is sooooo important.

Knicks are an especially great team after a loss. Winning game 1 shifts the whole thing

we earned this matchup. Beating Boston was epic and nobody gave us a chance.

Amen. I don't think there is another team I would like to send packing more than these Pacers.

Isiah Jackson was an important player for the Pacers last year given we didnt have Mitch. He is out.

The player that they have available that we didn't see is Mathurin. Another athletic scorer to account for - but not a defender and if he plays they have to put Nesmith on the bench. We all know Nesmith fouling Brunson 4 times every posession and getting away with it is a key to their defensive plan.

Indiana doesn’t really have a smaller guy they can put on Towns because they are really small 1-3. They will be forced to put a big on Towns so they can’t really neuter him as a stretch 5 like Boston and DET were able to.

We match up better with Indy than Cleveland plus we have home court.
