Of all the villains, Porzingis is not in the top 100.

I'm way over KP now. Trading him kick-started the franchise. We'd be the Washington Wizards right now if we kept him.

KP grew up eventually. Not the same kid he was in NY. Been classy in his remarks about NY, and his lack of maturity.

Covid caused a lot of long term upper respiratory problems. Difficult to describe in words how hard it can hit, if thats what he had.

Agree. He is demonstrating more maturity then PhilC.
Knicks success is better than KP hate.
I learned a lot from life. If you happy thats all that matters. KP win or lose has no bearing on us outside of the game at hand. Im not fan of Celtics but did not bother me he won with them. Knicks season was a good one.

KP left, we had space to sign Randle who was not perfect but busted his ass and got really good! That was fun.

He missed a bunch of games early in the season to a reported respiratory condition. I suppose he prefers to keep it private and his employer adheres to HIPPA standards.

If Boston destroys us in Game 3 we could be in serious trouble. If we play competitively and split in games 3 and 4 we should be ok. We have all the momentum and all we really need to do is come out swinging hard in Game 3 and not let them reset their rhythmn.

Ofcourse the series is not over and the Knicks have not played well at home. That said I just hope that MSG home crowd which will be mostly celebrities and stock brokers who can afford $5k tickets can boo the scarecrow.

Interesting career trajectory. Gets drafted by Phil, booed at the draft, then surprises everyone with a very good rookie year. Next Dirk. Next great big Eurostar nba player and he plays in the Garden every night. Lights up NY. Lights up the nba. Gets injured. Turns into a diva. Kicks the Knicks while they are down and gets traded out of NY.

Goes to Dallas. Ironically the city of Dirk. Joins forces with Luka. 2 players built to play with each other. Porzingis can’t help himself continues to be a problem child who blames teammates for his shortcomings and gets himself traded less than 2 years later.

A couple years later wins a ring watching on the bench in street clothes. Following year gets eliminated by the same team he was too good for in the arena he was too good for.

Enjoy next season Kristaps. You will be forced to retire after the season is over and the Celtics fans have only begun to be disgusted by you.

If he can’t fix his illness then retirement is the only option. Too bad, before he chose the Celtics I would’ve welcomed him back as a big off the bench. Glad we didn’t do that now. Hope he gets well soon though he looks visibly ill.

KP quit on this team and I can't forgive him for that but it was one of the best things that happened. We got crap in return but it speed up the dismissal of Mills and the hiring of Leon which is where this franchise turned the corner.

I see it differently. He wanted out when injured and wanted an extension which he got in Dallas.
I don't see he quite on the team. He wanted security. Its a business and applied leverage.
He went about it with an immaturity. His brother was an inexperienced agent but understood his leverage.
Knicks disagreed and Mavs wanted to take the risk.
We did not want to take the risk Mavs did. Knicks view proved correct. We feared he'd terrorize the league. He did not.

Yep, but I like how we returned that favor back to Dallas, some time later, by resigning one of their players they didn't extend

I said it 100 times: "Luck is when preparation meeds opportunity".

Not always a master plan but its clear from the beginning Phil Jax pegged KP properly with his small ass and predictions that lack of lower body strength would hinder him. Still, he fell after D'angelo and Oka4 were taken and we got him at 4 in what was seen at the time a 4 player draft. Funny to look back TEN YEARS AGO!!!!!!! https://www.basketball-reference.com/draft/NBA_2015.html
Look who went 5th! 7th, 1st? and 21st! Crazy how that draft kept coming back to us!

as for KP, Phil wanted to trade him before he broke out. Boston was rumored to give us among other assets the pick that became Jaylen Brown. He as fired as Dolan perhaps thought KP was the ticket. Phil did not agree. Hindsight? I said it then Phil was not great but he had his long range vision which among many things did not trade picks or starphuch us. The foundation that he helped keep how we got here all these years later. Mills perhaps was fired for wanting to cash some of those chips in and Perry was promoted to keep the plan in place. This was Dolan finally being mature. Leon did walk in with assets to work with.

KP did show some incredible potential early on but the fear of injury was always there. Phil was right on this one. Not saying his firing was not justified for other reasons besides wanting to move KP.

All jokes aside, I hope he figures out whatever illness he's had. Long Covid, Lyme, autoimmune...no idea what happened, but he was a shell of himself. This guy had gotten up for every game against the Knicks the last few years and was ready to hit logo 3's and block 5 shots a game....and he made zero impact.
