JJJ
H. Jones?
T. Murphy
Eason
Kessler
(I will leave off Lyles, that's a style fit not a talent fit for what we have. He's a MLE kind of guy next year).

So, rather than defending my position the same way again and again, what trade would you make with Robinson that makes sense for both teams IF Robinson isn't back until February. And why would they make the deal now?

I think Kessler could be had. Utah is in the tank for Cooper stage. The thing is, Utah always seems to outperform expectations. If they're looking in at the play-in, they might be tempted by a Kessler/Mitch swap. Or they might be interested in Deuce and his low salary. I think Easin is obtainable and Mitch would be interesting for Houston. But how does that flow with their reported interest in KD/Booker? I don't think they do Herb for Mitch. That Mitch/Zion fit would be tight and Herb has way more value than Mitch right now. What ore could the Knicks offer to make the deals enticing?

1) Rokas
2) Deuce
3) Wash Pick
4) Seconds
5) 26 & 28 1st round Swaps.
7) Something that tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios.

I'd want access to Dolan's Raya account and Sphere backstage passes. Then we'd have a real asset.

I feel like there rest well story itself out. I think that's the best lineup. And 2-4 is really matchup dependent because there's a lot of versatility. But on offense I kinda look at it like that

I see that as the starting lineup as well. but once Mitch is back, I suspect it will be
Brunson
Bridges
OG
KAT
Mitch

On the bench you have:

Hart to come in and inject defense, energy, and controlled chaos to put the tempo on Knicks' terms
Deuce to come in and inject painful defense like a pit bull on a hot-hand guard (and he can score as well)
Achiuwa - "Mr. Steady" backup wing/center
Sims to give a breather to one of the big guys
Shamet for "instant offense" and change of tempo - especially if Knicks' 2 guards are cold or having an off-night
Payne or Kolek to give JB a breather and to get Kolek some court time experience
Pacome Dadiet (garbage time, getting his feet NBA-wet)
Hukporti, Kevin McCullar Jr. ???

Yup, you have to run with your 5 best players in the SL

Oh, maybe I should've realized this was time for you to overreact to SL lineups. We could roll out Giannis’s brothers for all I care during SL. Bring back Ewing’s boy

I wouldn’t be surprised at that configuration either, at times

I do think playing KAT at the 5 is our lineup for the Celtics though. I think that’s the exact reason we made this trade. I think the Celtics might be better overall but I kinda like our rock, paper, scissors with them

I'm hoping that our rookies dominate in their minutes in the preseason. I mean they shine !!! Especially Paco and Hukporti, hope they open Thibs eyes for rotation depth. I think Kolek already has some shine. And Jacob Toppin hope he proves he is a NBA player.

Here's how I see the rotations with Mitch out

SL
Brunson-Bridges-Hart-OG-KAT

Approx 5 min mark of 1stQ
KAT goes out for Precious
Bridges goes out for Deuce
Brunson-Deuce-Hart-OG-Precious

Start 2nd Q
Brunson goes out for Payne
OG goes out for KAT
Hart goes out for Bridges
Payne-Deuce-Bridges-Precious-KAT

7 min mark
Precious goes out for Hart
Payne goes our for Brunson
Brunson-Deuce-Bridges-Hart-KAT

4-5 min mark
OG returns for Deuce
SL finishes

Something similar in half 2

TJ Warren is interesting, but probably washed due to injuries. I don't think the Knicks can afford both Shamet and Warren at vet minimums and stay under the 2nd apron. So I guess Shamet and Warren are fighting for one spot (substitute Warren for Mook).

I'd move Mitch sooner rather than later --- don't trust him to stay healthy and don't trust the flaky attitude on a team that is clearly going for it.

Trade him in for someone that can function as an NBA player with some skill (don't care if it's a guard, wing or big).

We can add some size later in season but trusting Mitch not to re-injure prior to trade deadline is very dicey and I wouldn't gamble on losing that $14.3M for nothing this year.

Teams might trade for him now thinking he will get healthy mid year but who will want him if he gets hurt again say in December during rehab.

Maybe he's untradeable until he proves he's healthy on the court but if I'm Knicks I move on now (if possible).

Put him in the starting line up! I'd like to have some talent in reserve and on the bench.

Go with Brunson and McBride in the back court, and then OG & Bridges up front with Kat.

Josh, Prescious and Payne off the bench.

What's the new 9 man rotation ?
