I think him opting out makes a trade very difficult for the Knicks.

KP was a solid option for us. Knicks need a big move because this was an easy one that Boston grabbed.

Trades like this one and the Beal to Suns deal keep me confused as to what different players trade values are... it suggests we could have possibly acquired KP for something like IQ and salary filler (fair to assume IQ is realistic comp to M.Brogdon) if there was mutual interest?

And Beal for broken down C.Paul and no first rounders given still surprises me - even with understanding Beal's contract is horrid

KP costs a lot and i don't trust his durability at this point.

celts will find a way to hide his weaknesses and accentuate his talents, the same way they did for Horford

All DC got was pick 30 for KP, we could have beat that with Obi and a future pick. Guess the Knicks tax was too high or the Knicks have bigger fish to fry. Maybe Towns is on the way ? Maybe Valincunas in a trade. We sign Watanabe and Pat Bev for the bench ? And trade Obi for a first rounder tomorrow.

It’s all circumstantial I guess. There’s no one size fits all for trades. I personally wouldn’t want to deal Quickley for him. And another thing we don’t always consider; this is Brunson’s team. He used to be teammates with Porzingis. Maybe he wasn’t a fan of him and didn’t want him on the team.

1) bad fit for this roster

2) he’s way overrated

3) Celtics are working out a trade for him

I’d rather watch Zach Wilson start another 17 regular season games and stink up the joint again then watching the Knicks trade assets to bring back KP

Robinson averaged 4.5 offensive rebounds last season so anyone saying he doesn't help on the offensive end needs to wake up. Lots of ways to impact the game besides scoring. Robinson was huge vs. the Cavs, he still averaged 4 offensive boards vs. Miami. Anyone blaming the series loss on Robinson has to recheck those 3 pt. shooting stats. Knicks were 3rd in offensive efficiency and 19the in defense. It would be a big mistake to deal beast man Robinson to make room for stick man KP.

I can see why Boston wants this move but how will they afford it?

Washington’s pricing seems quite low on these players. If all I need to get KP is 36m in matching salary and a 30 pick equivalent, I’d engage here. Fournier, Rose and the protected pick of their choice, including their own.

Yeah, you still need to figure out what happens with him next year, but I don’t think you can just let that kind of talent and size go to a team like Boston.

You know I gonna spin wit it
