Reading between the lines, that sounds like a pretty strong indictment of Beal's leadership. The team and his defense have sucked since he was given the keys to the team as the franchise guy.

Re: the pick, Dallas and Utah have shown that teams are absolutely shameless in tanking to protect those picks It's likely a major incentive in trading Beal- so that wizards are bad enough to keep the pick.

I actually thought wizards were going to be good. I thought Will Barton and Morris would stabilize there rotation. Not really sure what happened but it's tough to be a rookie coach.

They had a record of about .500 when Beal played. No doubt in my mind they could make the playoffs if they decide to run it back. That roster without Beal and Kuzma is going to be... something. I like Deni, Kispert, Morris and Gafford. But they're rotation guys and KP is unreliable from a health standpoint. Maybe Johnny Davis turns it around?

If the price is low as being anticipated guys like bobby marks outside of a bidding war against other teams(Miami), a possible package can be expiring contracts of Fournier, Rose, maybe Deuce and 1 or 2 picks. If healthy the knicks can have a very scary offensive backcourt. The huge problem for thibs will be the defense! But since RJ and Randle is still with the team, what if the FO trades RJ for OG!

Beal is a gamble but if he can still play 6 years and stay healthy a line up of Mitch, Randle, OG, Beal and Jalen might be able to start being contenders.

Im not sure how this can be but if instead of Beal the FO gets Lavine and still be able to get OG, i might like this gamble better. The past 2 years or so Lavine has been very durable. Hopefully his health owes are in the past.

Mitch, Randle, OG, Lavine, Jalen.

Suddenly i just remembered Randle hasn't really shown that he can play well with other scorers.

A pipe dream starting line up, i dont kniw how this can even be possible

Mitch, Siakam, OG, (Beal or Lavine), Jalen

Not to turn this into Thibs bashing, but I wonder how much of this comes down to Thibs coaching style. There really shouldn't be a reason why these kinds of players are taking the Heat and the Bucks but not the Knicks. Bucks don't have the assets to trade IMO though. So its really just the Heat.

Bucks won it all a year ago and Heat just finished up in the finals. It’s ring chasing.

Could also be Beal knows how fickle and s#!tty Knicks fans can be. Not to mention the media.

Thibs? Ahh, seems unlikely to me but I don’t know anything.

Maybe its the Knicks told Beals agent were was no interest?
Beal has a big number to carry and a NTC that follows him.
Heat can do Herro and Lowery, but should ask for Martin.

It would at least be a smart negotiating tactic to show interest. It might help Josh sign a more team friendly deal.

FFS if Washington accepts, it better be Gobert/Mitchell level picks.

If a player is put off by thibs that should be a red flag. We need to avoid the KD/Kyrie/KP spoiled diva crowd

Washington is trying to get a “contender” has a third team to take CP3…if they can’t find one, they are going to work on a buy out

Not really crazy about this deal from the Phoenix side. Are they going to go with a Beal/Booker backcourt? I know both guys have played point guard sporadically throughout their careers, but I have a tough time seeing that offense working out. Also scary that they're depending on two injury prone scorers. I didn't really think they're issue was scoring to begin with. And their cap situation is nauseating now.

They are basically de-valuing Booker by adding both Durant and Beal. Not really enough usage percentage to go around. I mean, I love seeing other teams implode. In half a season they went from being one of the younger stud lined team with two way players to high priced one way players that are injury prone.

I think the Knicks should be holding all their chips until Booker asks out. He’d be perfect on this team.
