3 players who seem like they might be available and are far from perfect, but are still younger than 30. We can go on about why none of them help much, but just for the heck of it, which one would you prefer for the Knicks if you had to pick one, and assuming the cost is within the same range? It’s going to be an interesting summer and these names will be thrown around a lot. All multi-time allstars who are still in their primes years and won’t cost the future of the team from an asset standpoint.

I think this is probably the best the Knicks can do to help the team. It definitely depends on what exactly the Knicks have to give up. I think Towns and Brunson would be a great pick and roll combo. Obi Toppin next to Gobert could be good for him. A big 3 of Brunson, Randle and Towns is very solid. I would prefer them to keep Mitchell Robinson maybe as our defensive stopper that can play 15-20 minutes per game and give great effort and hustle during that time. I'm thinking perhaps a trade that can get done - Quickley/Barret + Obi + Fournier + (2) 1st round picks (Maybe 1 of the knicks own 1st rounders and the mavs pick). Perhaps Hartstein is added as well? If not, then maybe trade Hartstein who I would think is very tradeable.

PG: Brunson, McBride, The Euro pg they have stashed overseas
SG: Grimes, Hart
SF: Grimes, Hart (Unless RJ isn't included in the trade)
PF: Randle, Towns
C: Towns, Robinson, Simms

Rumor: New York Knicks Trading For Karl Anthony Towns

Towns is apparently being acquired by the New York Knicks. Apparently the source details two of Towns’ fiancee Jordyn Woods’ friends revealed that the couple are house-hunting in Manhattan, which sometimes can be a sign of an impending trade.

Woods’ pals reported that the move was sudden and urgent, with one speculating that it could be related to a trade.

LaVine seems to be gaining steam if Jake Fischer report is correct that they are actively shipping him. I assume Quickley would go out in it. I wonder if the Knicks can make a deal and expand it to include Caruso. LaVine and Caruso is a blockbuster I can get behind.

And let Josh Hart walk?

Of course not. Caruso would replace Quickley as the lead guard off the bench. Think Barrett, Quickley, Toppin, rose and picks for LaVine and Caruso.

Team might need to trade IQ too early rather then too late. IQ for Lavine, picks, and expiring cap filler.

I’m such a huge quickley fan. He’s become a culture setting player. But if they were ever going to move him it would have to be before his contract extension. Plus his value won’t increase because he had a good year and will never start here.

I'm not against keeping him. But a team like Chicago who lost Ball needs to get a pg, Time to take advantage while we have a big need for a shooting wing with size. We do it right we can get Lavine for IQ and picks. Maybe keep RJ out of the deal. Bring over Rokas.

That’s the idea, although I get concerned about LaVine and Barrett on the wings defensively. Grimes is a better fit next to LaVine. But if we can get LaVine we can sort that out later.

If we keep RJ out of the deal he can be used in another deal. Key is not pay more then you have to. If we keep RJ he will be playing the 3/4. He will get Obi's 12 minutes off the bench.

Yes I can definitely see that.

I have seen nothing to suggest that NBATradeReport should be taken seriously.

So far we're trading for Zion, KAT, and Lavine, signing Kuz...who else?

We have had zero ties to Zion or Kuz. It’s likely LaVine, KAT or bust this summer.

There are articles out there tying the Knicks to alll those players, as well as much speculation here. If it wasn’t apparent my point is talk is cheap.

Zero?

Everytime I read an article, we are tied to everything, and that’s been the norm since I was a fan years ago. It’s the mecca, we have young assets and picks and players use us to up their price. But it’s good entertainment until the season starts up again. At least we have a solid FO this time, who doesn’t chase every new toy. They wait for the toys to come to them.

Can I get none of the above?
