For all the **** Barrett is getting, and all the praise IQ and Grimes are getting about their shooting....All 3 players are shooting are pretty close percentage wise. Not saying it to be a schmuck, but it really surprised me they were so close.

I saw this article too and was surprised to see RJ’s percentages in the last 41 games essentially equal to the much loved IQ and Grimes. And averaging 20 points a game. Not saying there aren’t other issues such as consistency on defense, but it is interesting.

Since Randle is balling everyone just needs a new outlet and RJ is the punching bag for the year. Every year it has to be someone. It should be Obi but he’s too much of a fan favorite like Ntilikina was. And I’m not saying RJ concerns aren’t warranted, they are just overblown because everyone is hyper aware of when he does something wrong, myself included.

RJ is a solid player I just don't know if he is the ideal fit. I think a long wing defender that can spread the floor might be a better fit overall. Hart duplicates a lot of what RJ does. He is also a better defender, finisher, and rebounder. This would open up more shots for Quckley as the 3rd scorer. Say you swap RJ with OG. Is the team better?

We may end up including RJ in a package to get a superstar next offseason we almost did it last year with Mitchell. Can that be enough to placate the RJ-Haters?

The Knicks played a great game and should have won it in regulation. Staying within the thread, RJ had 29 points and 11 boards and some nice assists. Go ahead now. complain on.

Sloppy game knicks could have put away earlier. I counted three times RJ got the ball with 5 seconds left and had to shoot.
Game management by Quick is far from very good in some areas. Still young, still working on things.
IQ was very very good when he had to. Kid was having a good time out there. Randle kept his **** together.
Rj air ball was awful. Fact is he go to the line when knicks were a bit out of sorts.
Fact is, we good enough to beat them in their home. Big ugly win! A true Grinder.

Pointing out things that could have been better is what "Development" is for. These are great moments as a prelude to the playoffs.

The moans for RJ can be worse if he did more stupid ****. He didn't.
My take on Randle is has has been much better about turnovers this season but all this is will be magnified in post season.
Its like Giannis, teams know how to stop him, its a question of executing it. This year if you shut down randle, you have to deal with Brunson.
Now you have to deal with IQ and Boston did a pretty good job on him. I say that as boston came back from a 11 point deficit and took knicks to two OT.
Lets just say some games knicks are lucky to win, my take was Boston was lucky to hang tough. They were a mess.

If he just goes he usually scores. It’s the clear out and dribble then drive that always gets himself into trouble. RJ does look a little bulky, similar to when mitch bulked up. Added speed would definitely help his defense.

We saw that hesitancy as an issue for both Randle and IQ until they broke thru and got good at some aspects of this.
RJ growth demands he become a better Iso player and know when to move the ball.
