I think it'll be hard to teach an old dog new tricks and if anything (just hypothetically speaking); it'll become Jalen Brunson as the combo/off ball 2G (with Kyrie @ the Point of attack PG) similar to how Jalen Brunson was utilized alongside of Luka Doncic @ Dallas.

You're right the expression is "point forward". I tend to call the floor general the PG, regardless of postion . And thats what LeBron was that season. Kyrie played off the ball when it mattered.

No one in their right mind would dispute that Kyrie is an amazing player, and on paper he would make any team formidable and a championship contender, including the Knicks.

But paper don't play, and his mercurial character makes his on-court contributions meaningless. He is a team cancer, and he has been dysfunctional on too many franchises to be seriously considered as an upgrade, desipte his amazing player talent.

Until he goes through a Spree-like epiphany and gets serious about winning, I struggle to see how a team would risk adding him. In a way, a passive roster dead weight like Fournier may be a better thing to have than an active cancer like Kyrie.

Looks more like an offense that will need another ball to satisfy everyone.

We'll have a starting 5 with 4 guys who need the ball to be at their best on offense. This was why I was more in favor of giving up RJ than Grimes in a trade for Donovan Mitchell.

Anyone who thinks our present "big 3" dominant offense creates a "stand around and watch" impulse in players who don't have the ball, will be even more happy when we have a "big 4."

Personally I think Nets ownership has been patient with him. He shows no loyalty to his team or that his actions affect his teammates. On court he might be fine. But there is more to that.
