Carmelo Anthony was here for what, 7 years and ranked 24th All-Time in Knicks Assists with 1,328 but yet Julius Randle has yet to complete his 4th year as a Knick but yet already ranks 28th within Franchise History @ 1,226 Assists? Only 102 Assists behind Melo with another 3+ years to pass him? Heck. Everyone's favorite and beloved Allan H2O Houston ranks 18th All-Time in Franchise assists with 1,476 despite 9 freaking years of play with our Knicks but yet Julius Randle hasn't yet completed his 4th year but already only 250 assists behind H2O? Julius Randle 1st 4 years as a Knick: Vs. Carmelo Anthony 1st 4 years as a Knick: Allan Houston 1st 4 years as a Knick: Latrell Sprewell 1st 4 years as a Knick: PATRICK EWING 1st 4 years as a Knick: Etc. So as we can see, maybe the likes of Carmelo Anthony, Allan Houston, Latrell Sprewell and (my favorite Knicks player of All-Time) #33 Patrick Ewing were all unwilling passers and/or BALL HOGS but guess what? Julius Randle doesn't deserve to mentioned within that same type of category. PS: |

NBA offenses were completely different in that era. When the ball went into Ewing in the post, really wasn't supposed to come out. Even Sprewell and Houston's career were pre-3 point revolution. Only Melo is in a conversation comparable to the era in which post players are expected to move the ball to the perimeter open threes as systematically as they are now. |

Julius Randle (already) ranks 6th in Knicks Franchise History with 505 made 3's (despite not even completing his 4th year as a Knick just yet). He'll pass Carmelo Anthony for made 3's by the end of next year for 3rd All-Time. |

But big ups to Randle playing like an nba star ready to take the next step. What a great example for RJ and others to follow. They all seem to rally behind him. Thibs is probably the best coach for him. Doesnt do any knee jerk reaction roster moves just from one game. He’s a players coach which gives his players he likes a long cord to figure it out. I have to admit he’s managed Randle very well and it’s paying off, then add the pieces around him like hart and we have something special right now. Growing in front of us as we speak. Save some for the playoffs though. That’s where he will show even more growth. With a perfect way to end a great season, a playoff series win. Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland.
The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!
